Another good result for the seniors tonight.
Good to see 16 year old Noah getting on the field and doing a cracking job 👏⚽️
Catterick garrison 2- 5 Leyburn Utd
Tonight saw us away at Garrison in the league, both sides canceling each other out for the first 20 mins until Riley G had a deflected strike finding the back of the net 0-1.
2 x goals in the next 10 mins saw Garrison take a 2-1 lead with their quick striker beating Leyburns back line to slot home.
Leyburn back on level terms just before half time when Adam Morland out muscled Garrison defence to fire home 2-2.
Not the best performance and strong words from Closey at half time , saw the lads come out firing in the 2nd 45.
Stone wall penalty on 46 mins saw Will Hewson stick away the penalty after Ben was upended after a good run into the box 2-3.
48 mins saw a foul on a garrison player for him to retaliate at the refs decision , receiving a yellow card , to be followed soon after by a straight red for carrying on at the ref 🙈
Garrison unsettled by this saw Sam T fire yet another goal past the keeper 2-4.
Few subs made , saw Young Noah set up Aidy to finish well 2-5 , several more opportunity’s fell but missed the target.
Final score 2-5
A much improved Garrison side , we wish them good luck with the remainder of the season and future looks bright for garrison with such a young squad 👏
