A day off from bowls for members and their guests. An informal, fun afternoon on the pétanque piste beside the bowling green. There will be help on hand for those who have not played before. The pavilion will be open for tea, coffee and other drinks from the bar. Mollky will also be running along side. For an idea of numbers, a sign up sheet will be on the noticeboard in the next couple of days or you can send a message here. We hope to see you then!☀️😎

After the Skittles fiasco, all turned out well with our alternative Mollky night. Thanks to Barry and Jo for their instructions and the Mollky kits and also to our resident bbq man.😊. Peter and Barry were the stars of the show with lots of sledging from the crowd. Some photos below.

Sounds of laughter and banter filled the pavillion last night as members and their guests enjoyed an evening of Toads and other pub games. The evening was such fun that requests for the same next year have been made already. Thanks to everyone who came along to support the event and big thanks to Baggers, Brian and Peter for supplying the games.😊

The Australian Pairs competition finished this morning in not very Aussie weather. Thanks to everyone for participating and a special big thank you to the substitutes who helped the competition to run smoothly. The final was a very close one with Jim and David winning on the last wood. The runners-up were our very own hotshots, Debbie and Barry. Well done everyone!

Diane Law played in the quarter finals of the Sussex region Bowls England Champion of Champions at Polegrove yesterday. Her opponent was Rachel Mackreill, a national and county champion several times over. Diane’s aim was to try and score one point, so she was very happy with her 7. She found the whole experience really interesting. She learnt a lot and loved every minute of it.
