Well a nightmare post this one πππ
Murray has decided to move up to the 1st team from us and he goes with our best wishes. A tremendous player who this season has been giving opposition players at times 3-4yrs on him.
He is a player i have known for a very long time when starting off at Lomond Colts all those years ago in 2012.
When Lomonds Colts folded, he came to Kennoway 03's and was an integral part of the team that won 3 (and probably would have been 4 if not for Covid) Leagues in a row. This obviously attracted attention from senior sides and off he went to what was then Fife Elite in 2018.
Thankfully it wasnt long until he was back with us and again, he fitted right into the team.
Again senior sides were sniffing around and off he went to Aberdeen FC for a few games and done really well. I know for a fact that he was the victim of Covid or he would have been back there with potentially a deal on the table. Even last week when i was on holiday, i received a phone call from 2 x local senior sides asking for a list of our games so they could look at Murray with being an U20's player.
When he was only 15 he made his debut for what was then Kennoway Star Hearts Juniors and gave the full back of Lochee Utd a right doing that night (they were in the semi final of the Jnr cup that year.
Even though he is without doubt thee grumpiest player to have ever put on a Football Strip, he is actually a good lad and one that thinks he is a greek adonis π every chance he gets its a case of "taps aff"
We will miss him especially with only 6 games to go, but sometimes you have to do what you think is right for you.
Murray goes with our best wishes along with his Mum Vicki, Sisters Eilidh & Robyn and his nephews Cobi & Wade.
All the best Muz
