Summer holidays notice 🌞

We are part way through the school holidays and I am so lucky to be able to have this time off with my kids.

They have only got a few more years of needing me to be home during the holidays, so now is the time to enjoy.

I am working some evenings and days with childcare during this time so please check in, and my apologies for slower replies. When i'm not working, i'm too busy paddle boarding, holidaying, dancing, picnicking, boogie boarding and having lots of fun with my children 🤘

Story time ☠️

Sometimes things go wrong.
Sometimes people go wrong.
Sometimes paintings go wrong.
Sometimes you don't know what went wrong but it just does.

This commission is from last year. It was never paid for or collected. It now sits in my studio as a lesson.

A lesson for not sending out an invoice.
A lesson for how many adjustments there were on it.
A lesson for sometimes the customer isn't right - they asked for a background colour change from black to grey right at the end and I hated it.
A lesson that even a year later when they offer to send money due to not paying which sounded sincere, then ghost me 🤦‍♀️, that Sometimes you just need to let it go.

I worked hard on this piece, it's massive. If I could take away the customer aspect of it, I actually really enjoyed painting it. Like really enjoyed it.
That's why I think I can keep it in my studio and use it as a lesson.

Anyways. Sometimes art goes wrong, sometimes customers go wrong. S**t happens and we move on to the next piece ✌️
