What a morning!! Thank you to the Duck n Dash team, determined not to let a small setback like losing our pool stop us hosting our brilliant event.

We appreciated all of the wonderful participants accepting the change of venue and turning up in their hundreds to get their race done. Thank you and well done all!

It was a busy morning but I made sure I took a moment to soak up the atmosphere of the occasion. Participants from 8 to almost 80. Varying abilities but everyone trying so hard, focussed on their own reasons for taking part today. The visible nerves, excitement and then, splash, into the swim.

The run course offered a super supporter atmosphere as runners were never out of sight.

So thank you to Hitchin Swimming Centre and NHDC for allowing us to change venue at short notice, to the Duck n Dash team and their complete focus and commitment, and to all the marvellous competitors. See you all next year!

Photos will be vetted by our safeguarding team and then sent by email to competitors by the end of the week.

We're really looking forward to next weekend. Adding extra atmosphere to the day, we'll have commentators at the start and the finish of the race and we would love to give you a shout out, especially if you have a special message or are racing for a cause.

Great news folks, the Duck n Dash is ON 🥳🥳🥳

Competitors, please check your inbox, we will be at Hitchin Swimming Centre this Sunday for Duck n Dash. You will have all received an email with details, please do read carefully as timings have changed and we will be starting a little earlier. There will be another email sent to you prior to the event with a QR code for registration. Please have this open on your phone when in the queue for registration, it'll speed things up.

Duck n Dash update…

The amazing Duck n Dash team have been working hard on securing an alternative venue this evening and we’re very hopeful we can still get the event on. We’ll know for sure by Wednesday afternoon. We just need to re-write risk assessments and get support of all relevant authorities. Keep everything crossed!

Attention Duck & Dashers!

You may have heard, Letchworth Lido was flooded last week and whilst the team there have been working round the clock to get it cleaned up, the possibility of sewage in the pool means that they can’t host us 😢

The Duck & Dash committee are meeting tonight at a potential alternative venue and will email all competitors tomorrow with an update.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.
