Another brilliant day at GP Martial Fitness & Leominster Police Boxing Academy! 👊

The kids got stuck into a great mix of boxing, fitness, teamwork, challenges and plenty of fun — from learning their boxing skills and working the bags to rope swings and activity challenges! 😃💪

It’s fantastic seeing them building confidence, coordination and new skills, while keeping active and making new friends along the way.

Loads of energy, loads of smiles and some pretty serious boxing poses too! 😂🥊

🥊🥊 Introducing the NEW GP Martial Fitness Kids Star Medal Programme! 🌟. We’re excited to launch our brand-new reward scheme for all of our junior members!

Every medal represents more than just attendance – it’s about recognising:

⭐ Effort
⭐ Respect
⭐ Positive attitude
⭐ Skill development
⭐ Confidence
⭐ Perseverance

Children will progress through six medal levels as they continue to work hard in class:

⚪ White
🟡 Yellow
🔴 Red
🟢 Green
🔵 Blue
🟣 Purple

We want every child to feel proud of their achievements, no matter where they are on their martial arts journey.

“The Clive Richards Foundation’s generous award has transformed the facilities at Leominster Police Boxing Academy. Thanks to this funding we have been able to purchase new gloves, coaching pads, free-standing bags, kick shields, strength and conditioning equipment, protective equipment and a new junior reward scheme. This investment will benefit children, young people and adults through our weekly classes, school programmes and community projects for many years to come. We are incredibly grateful for the Foundation’s support and belief in what we do within our local community.”

🥊 BUILDING STRONGER MINDS THROUGH BOXING 🥊

I’m proud to work alongside West Mercia Police and local schools, delivering positive boxing and fitness sessions to young people across Herefordshire.

It started as a small partnership has now engaged around 1,500 students, helping children develop:

✅ Confidence
✅ Discipline
✅ Respect
✅ Teamwork
✅ Positive relationships with local police officers

These sessions are about far more than boxing. They provide an opportunity for children to learn new skills, improve self-belief, stay active and engage with positive role models in a safe and supportive environment.

Recent feedback from local schools includes:

⭐ “All of the children were engaged throughout and thoroughly enjoyed learning new skills.”

⭐ “A highly enjoyable session that left the children excited and eager for more.”

⭐ “The children showed great enthusiasm, energy and willingness to get involved in every activity.”

⭐ “Glenn was excellent at making sure everyone felt included and able to take part.”

Thank you to the schools, teachers, police officers and most importantly the children who continue to make these sessions such a success.

Great effort from everyone tonight, working on fitness, boxing skills and plenty of pad work. It’s always brilliant to see members pushing themselves, supporting each other and having fun while getting fitter.

🥊 Another great night at South Wye Police Boxing Academy.

Plenty of rounds, plenty of learning, and plenty of hard work from everyone involved.

Tonight’s focus was on:
✅ Movement and ring craft
✅ Technical sparring
✅ Distance and timing
✅ Conditioning and recovery

What I enjoy most isn’t just watching boxers improve physically—it’s seeing confidence grow, friendships develop, and young people pushing themselves outside their comfort zones.

Every session is another step forward.
