LAST CHANCE TO GET YOUR PHOTO IN THE TIGHT LINES TACKLE 2027 CALENDAR!

We’ve had some brilliant photos sent in already and the calendar is starting to look fantastic.

Before we make the final selection, we’re putting out one last call for photos.

We’d especially love to see some more seasonal fishing pictures:

🍂 Autumn banks and colours
❄️ Frosty or winter fishing scenes
🌫️ Misty mornings
🌱 Spring waters
🎣 Rivers, canals and local venues
🐟 Pike, perch, tench, barbel and other species as well as carp

They don’t have to be trophy-fish photos either. Beautiful waters, memorable sessions, rods on the bank, wildlife and those moments that simply capture why we go fishing are all welcome.

🎣 BAIT QUESTION FOR YOU LOT!

I’m having a bit of a rethink of the carp bait section at Tight Lines.

We currently stock a good range of Sticky Baits, but I’m considering reducing the range slightly and bringing in more CC Moore products alongside it.

So, if you were standing in the shop choosing bait, what would you rather see?

📢 Small change to our opening hours from next week

From Tuesday 1st September, I’ll be taking a short lunch break each day between 1:30pm and 2:00pm, so the shop will be closed for those 30 minutes.

Everything else stays exactly the same, and I’ll be back behind the counter from 2pm as usual. 🎣

It’ll also give me a chance to occasionally nip to the bank, grab some lunch or simply escape the four walls for half an hour! 😂

🎣 ONE YEAR OF TIGHT LINES TACKLE 🎣

And somehow... we made it! 😂

A year ago I opened the doors to Tight Lines Tackle not really knowing what the next twelve months would bring.

Today, after our first anniversary opening, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported the shop.

To everyone who has bought a pint of maggots, a bag of bait, a rod, a packet of hooks, stopped for a chat, recommended us to somebody else, shared a Facebook post or simply popped in to see what we’re doing... thank you.

Running a tiny independent tackle shop isn't always easy, but the support from local anglers has genuinely made it worth doing.

The shop has changed enormously in its first year, I've learned an ridiculous amount, we've tried plenty of slightly mad ideas along the way, and there are plenty more to come.

We're only just getting started. 🎣

And, of course, a special thank you from Holly, who remains convinced this is actually her shop and I merely work here. 🐾

🎈 TIGHT LINES TURNS ONE TOMORROW! 🎣

Emily’s been busy decorating, Holly’s been supervising, and there are now several enormous fish flying around the shop 😂

We’re opening specially tomorrow — Sunday 23 August, 10am–2pm — to celebrate our first birthday!

There’ll be anniversary offers around the shop, the launch of Wyldfox Baits, and a FREE Wyldfox Candy Corn taster pot when you spend £30 or more.
