Music in the Park returns this afternoon for our final Sunday concert of 2026!

Come along to Parson's Close Recreation Ground and enjoy a free performance from Bedford Town Band at the historic bandstand.

🎺 Get ready to sing, clap and celebrate!

Our Last Night of the Proms evening begins at 7pm on Saturday 12 September with a fantastic Best of British performance from local singer and soprano Lissie Allsopp. 🎤

Then the Bedfordshire Band of the Royal British Legion will bring their renowned brass band sound to the park with traditional favourites and Proms classics. 🎺🎶

Just after 9pm, we’ll join the BBC’s Last Night of the Proms live from the Royal Albert Hall. 📺🎶
Bring your flags, wear your red, white and blue and get ready for a proper Proms celebration! ❤️🤍💙

SPLASH ’N’ PLAY SUMMER HOURS ARE CHANGING

As the schools return, Splash ’n’ Play at Parson’s Close Recreation Ground will return to term-time opening hours from Thursday 3 September.

Here are the opening times:

Tuesday 1 September: 10am to 7:30pm
Wednesday 2 September: 10am to 7:30pm
Thursday 3 September: 10am to 4:30pm
Friday 4 September: 10am to 4:30pm
Saturday 5 September: 10am to 7:30pm
Sunday 6 September: 10am to 7:30pm

From Monday 7 September through to the end of October:

Monday to Friday: 10am to 4:30pm
Saturday and Sunday: 10am to 7:30pm

LAST DAY OF THE SPLASH PARK SEASON

Saturday 31 October 2026

After this date, Splash ’n’ Play will close for the winter and will reopen in May 2027.

We hope you’ve had a fantastic summer of splashing, playing and making memories at the Splash ’n’ Play.

Let’s hope September and October bring plenty of sunshine so you can make the most of this fantastic facility before the season comes to an end.

The much-loved Last Night of the Proms returns to Parson’s Close Recreation Ground on Saturday 12 September from 7pm to 10.30pm. 🎉

Enjoy a spectacular evening of live music and Proms favourites, starting with local singer and soprano Lissie Allsopp performing her Best of British set. 🎤
