Walton XI cricket team are looking forward to our 3rd season getting underway next week.

We continue to focus on fun social cricket, playing friendly matches on Tuesday evenings and some Sunday afternoons both home and away.

We play adult cricket for all ages and abilities and are a true local team, the majority of our players live in the Walton area. Our home games and intrasquad sessions are held at Wavendon Gate Pavilion.

We also run some social events for players & members throughout the year.

Great all-round performance from the whole team! A new innings top score, along with Gary Mitchel 4/25 haul, Jignesh Joshi 3/22 & Rahul 50 not out 👏👏👏

Fixture change information -
Walton XI vs Landscape Town & Country @ Wavendon Gate Pavillion is rescheduled from Tuesday 24th June to Wednesday 25th June.
All spectator’s welcome, teas and coffees will be available 🏏

Our 2025 season kicked off last Tuesday with an intrasquad game to warm us up for our 1st friendly fixture next week vs Lansdcape Town & Country at Great Linford.
16 of our 24 man squad were available for our team photo.
Looking forward to some entertaining matches and social fun, anyone is welcome to come to Wavendon Gate Pavillion to watch our Tuesday evening fixtures (fixture list attached)

New Year, new activity?
Have you played Cricket in the past and want to start up again?

Walton XI cricket club are looking for a few more players to join in readiness for the 2025 season…
No big commitment is needed, just some previous playing experience.
We’re all local to the area and play our home matches at Wavendon Gate pavilion.

The squad is of mixed age and ability,
with a common goal to play for fitness and fun. We play friendly T20 and intra squad games on Tuesday evenings and the occasional Sunday afternoon match.

Our first season was a massive success in terms of enjoyment, we had some great moments on the field, several social events and built a great team spirit.

Walton XI finished what has been an amazing first season, our final
fixture was an intra squad match at our home ground at Wavendon Gate Pavilion.
It was an entertaining final match and we gathered to share food and drinks afterwards.
Our first season has been a great success, we’ve formed a friendly squad encompassing a variety of ages and abilities. All of our matches won or lost have been played with an amazing team spirit and we definitely ticked the ‘social team’ box! Our opponents have all been very complimentary and we cant wait for next season.

Some highlights of our 1st season were;
Winning our 1st match vs Stewkley CC,
Participating in the 1st Soulbury Smash tournament,
A nail biting final over finish vs OB City,
5000 career runs milestone for Alan,
Team sponsorship from JFW Contracting,
Many recipients of the duck and bucket match awards!

We will start winter nets training in November, so if you are local and would like to play some fun and social friendly cricket with us next year please get in touch.
