After leading the 2nd XI for three seasons, our double-winning skipper Tyler Eiselt has today announced his resignation as Captain.

Having taken the reins in 2024 following relegation the previous season, Tyler led the 2nd XI to a season of stability by finishing 4th in Div 6. What followed in 2025 was nothing short of breathtaking… the 2nd XI won 13 of their 18 matches to storm to the Div 6 title, and went all the way in the League Cup beating Silverstone in a pulsating final to win the Double. Back in Div 5, 2026 has saw a comfortable mid table finish back and further great foundations laid for his successor to mount a title charge in 2027.

As captain Tyler personally contributed 629 runs @ 27; and 41 wickets @ 19.2, whilst winning 28 matches out of 43 he skippered.

Tyler leaves a great legacy for the Club to build on and all at Leighton Buzzard Town Cricket Club want to thank him for his efforts.

That’s a wrap! All three sides are safe, with nothing left to play for — so we’re looking forward to a nice, relaxing final Saturday of the season… 👀

1st XI travel to Cropredy
2nd XI host Brill
3rd XI face an already-relegated Tiddington

With the pressure off, it’s all about finishing the season strongly, enjoying the cricket and then getting stuck into the end-of-season party at the club! 🍻
