🐴✨ MEET THE TRAINER & PERFORMER – BEN ATKINSON ✨🐴
Horses, performance and film is at the heart of Atkinson family story. For decades, the family have provided and trained horses for major film and television productions — from Peaky Blinders and Disney productions to one of our absolute family favourites, All Creatures Great and Small. 🎬🐴
Ben has developed the most complex Liberty and Roman Riding teams in the UK, performing across the UK and internationally, with regular appearances at Your Horse Live and Horse of the Year Show.
Watching one horse working beautifully at liberty is special.
Watching Ben communicate with an entire team of horses is something else altogether.
And then there's the Roman riding… 🔥

Ben has been demonstrating bridleless for decades, and his recent work has taken that partnership to another level, developing high-level movements including piaffe and passage without a bridle.
We cannot wait for you to see where that work is going this year.
And here's a brilliant Ben fact…
At just 14 years old, Ben performed his first major show with Malik at HOYS at Liberty - taking part in a huge First World War production.
What we've perhaps loved watching most, though, is Ben's progression, he questions things. Experiments. Learns from different approaches. Develops new ideas. And, importantly, adapts his training around what works best for the individual horse.
And this September, you're going to get LOTS of opportunities to learn from him.
