We offer footballing opportunities in a fun and safe environment for children from 5 to 18. The club was founded in June 2006 by a group of parents who wanted their children to be part of a football club that was founded on excellent practice and placed an equal value on enjoyment and success. With the backing of a local Headteacher, Linslade Greenleas FC started with five teams playing in local l
eagues, all led by FA qualified coaches operating from Greenleas Lower School and Liscombe Park. By November 2006 we had achieved the FA Charter Standard* – only the third club in Leighton Linslade to do so and went on to receive the Bedfordshire Football Association’s ‘New Charter Standard Club of the Year’ at the end of our first season. We have continued to expand, to reflect this expansion and our broader reach across the town and surrounding villages, we changed our name in May 2010 to Linslade Galaxy FC. We remain proud of our beginnings and continue to maintain a close link with Greenleas Lower School with our U6 development squad and U7s based at the Derwent Road school. We regularly receive recognition for our commitment to safeguarding children and fairplay. We believe you should receive the kind of quality coaching and mentoring you expect from a leader. Our Club is always evolving as the needs and demands of Youth Football change and as new opportunities are created in the game. You can rest assured that when playing or working with Linslade Galaxy Football Club you will enjoy the latest ethos, standards and developments the game has to offer. We offer the highest quality football to local children and young adults in Leighton Buzzard, Linslade and the surrounding villages. We have been coaching children not only how to become accomplished footballers but also how to become confident and responsible young adults. As a Standard Charter Development Club, we adhere to the highest standards set by the Football Association and as a result all our coaches will have:
> passed a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check
> attained a minimum of a Level 1 F.A. Coaching certificate
> possession of a valid Emergency Aid certificate
