🦅 WE ARE RECRUITING: SENIOR HEAD COACH 🦅

With Phil Llewellyn set to step down at the end of the season, the hunt is on for a new leader to take the reins at Wright’s Meadow! 🔵⚪️

We are looking for an ambitious, modern, and player-focused Senior Head Coach to lead our Men’s 1st and 2nd XV. This is a part-time, paid role perfect for someone who lives and breathes rugby.

The Role:

Lead the Charge: Provide strategic leadership and on-field coaching for our senior squads.

Build the Future: Work closely with our M&J section to ensure a seamless transition for our talented Colts into the senior game.

Drive Success: Develop an expressive, high-tempo game plan that builds on our recent back-to-back promotions.

Culture First: Foster a positive, inclusive environment where players play for their mates and the love of the club.

What We’re Looking For:
✅ Strong knowledge of coaching and player development.
✅ Experience working with senior players (Level 2/3 preferred).
✅ A leader who can motivate volunteers and build a "One Club" culture.
✅ Commitment to the values of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline, and
sportsmanship

With a modern clubhouse, fantastic facilities and supportive volunteers , you’ll have everything you need to succeed ! 🦅

Following fantastic support over the Christmas period, our fundraising total for the rugby posts fund stands at £2,982, or 75% of our initial target. A huge thank you to all who have contributed so far, especially at this time of year.

Recent bad weather has caused significant damage to two sets of our rugby posts at Leighton Buzzard Rugby Club, and we urgently need to replace two full sets so our teams can continue to train and play safely.

As an unplanned expenditure, against the backdrop of rising costs across the board, the club do not have the funds to do this on our own 😔

Our club is at the heart of the local community, supporting players of all ages, and we can’t do this without your help. We’ve set up a GoFundMe appeal to raise the funds needed to get us back on our feet.

🎄MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL FROM BUZZARDS 🎅

We would like to wish all our Players, Members, Volunteers, Supporters and the local community a very Merry Christmas.

Thank you for all your support in 2025, from near, from far, on pitch and off pitch. It is hugely appreciated.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in 2026.

The club will be open on Saturday 27th December and Tuesday 30th December before returning to normal opening on Saturday 3rd January.
