Competitive Bowling leagues are kicking off over the next 2 weeks!!! Now is the perfect time to consider joining a team this season. Whether you're new or experienced, we have several teams and local leagues always on the lookout for new players.

We know “joining a league” can sound a bit intimidating, but don’t worry, we’re a friendly, supportive group focused on helping you improve, have fun, and enjoy a bit of healthy competition 💪

🗓 Leagues for 2026
Minimum age to join a team is 12 in most cases and there's no upper age limit!

*Monday night:
Leigh Ladies League or Monday night league (mixed teams)

*Tuesday Afternoon*
Ladies Afternoon League

*Tuesday/Thursday night:*
A mixed league that plays both days.

*Wednesday afternoon:*
Pensioners League (you'll need to be 55 to join a team!)

*Wednesday night:*
A mixed league

*Friday night:*
Mixed Friday night league

If you don't fancy any of those Social Bowling will still be running and we look forward to seeing you!

We need to have a chat....

This group is all about growing crown green bowling and building a stronger local bowling community 💚

We’re here to promote social, friendly bowling sessions for people in the local area who might be curious about giving bowling a go for the very first time.

Whether you’ve never picked up a bowl before or just want a relaxed introduction to the sport, you’re more than welcome here.

We’re proud to have trained DBS checked volunteer coaches who give their time freely because they love the game and want to see it thrive. Their aim is simple:
👉 help people feel welcome
👉 build confidence
👉 make bowling fun and accessible

For those who catch the bug and want to take things further, we’ll happily support and encourage players into leagues, teams, and more competitive environments when they’re ready, always at their own pace, and always where they’ll feel comfortable.

This page isn’t just about recruiting for ourselves. It’s about developing the sport as a whole. We believe bowling grows best when clubs, coaches, and organisers work together, not against each other 🤝 and we've recently sent new players to join teams in Hindley and Leigh.

If you are at a different club, run your own sessions and would like to advertise or collaborate, please reach out and work in partnership with us. We’re not here to compete, we’re here to help more people discover, enjoy, and stick with crown green bowling.

Let’s grow the game, support each other, and keep the bowls rolling 🎯💪

We've been a bit quiet while were out of Season, but before the rush up to Christmas we just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful time.
We hope you get lots of bowls related presents and if you looking for a last minute goft for a bowler, nothing beats a good Rag ready for next year 😉 xx

Well thats a wrap on our social bowling sessions for 2025!

We just want to say a huge thank you to anyone and everyone who came down to give bowling a go!
We've had the best time on Sundays and hopefully weve set that spark and confidence for you to come back next year, wether thats socially or for something more competitive!

We'll be back in next year for more Social sessions and hopefully some of our newbies will be signing up to compete 🤞👍

Tomorrow Sunday 14th September is our last social bowling session of the year! It's been great getting to show so many people how to bowl. We'll be back next year (hopefully even bigger than ever!) But if you want to come for one last roll in a relaxed setting you're more than welcome!

Only our Derek and Kathleen were running the social bowling this morning. Good to hear they were rushed off their feet a little with new bowlers and returning social players!!!!
