Saturday 12th September. Early start for Rusty and Myself headed to Ashby-De-La-Zouch for the UKCL season 5, 1st open. Arrived about 8:30am got to throw some warm up bags then the rounders. Rusty's first opponent was Lewis Wildman great game went to the wire but rusty came away with the win. My first opponent was Charlotte Coates an up and coming junior player from Whitley Bay Ducks, I took the win. Then Rusty met Chris Webster which resulted in a loss for Rusty and my second game was against Daniel Lilley so that was a loss for me then Rusty played Lily Farmer amazing junior player from Solent Co****le Club. an I faced Craig Dixon which gave me another win. Rusty's next match was against Sam Hicks which he won. My last rounders game was against Richard MacDonald who gave me a good schooling. Next came the bracket game my first opponent was Donna Voiselle another loss for me. Rusty came up against Woody Woodson, a great player Rusty lost this one. My next game I came up against Charlotte Coates which was a win for me then Rusty met Steve Eldridge. Steve won and that ended Rusty's day. My game was against Matthew Barrows [panda] great game but he took the win and my day was over. All in all a fanastic day great to be playing competitive co****le again and catching up with friends and meeting new ones. Its on to the 2nd open for the East Lancs Co****le Club see you there.
