Good coaching starts with listening, not pushing.
That’s why every new client begins with a consultation.

You don’t need to be “ready” to start training.

You just need a starting point.

That’s why every client begins with a conversation - not a workout.

Because real coaching isn’t about throwing a plan at you and hoping for the best.
It’s about understanding your goals, your schedule, your energy, and your life as it actually is right now.

There’s no “too unfit,” no “too busy,” and no pressure to be perfect here.
We build from where you are.

If this sounds like the kind of coaching you’ve been looking for, my DMs are always open. I’d love to hear about you and what you want from training.

Would you like to feel more confident, energetic, fitter, stronger—and move better?

What could you achieve with more confidence, energy, strength, and fitness?

Having a personal trainer isn't just about the workouts.

- It’s the conversations—about your life, your nutrition, and how everything connects in your body, affecting how you feel and what you're capable of.

- It’s about finding what actually works for you long term—so it's enjoyable and sustainable.

- It’s learning why we do what we do, discovering what works best for you, and understanding how your actions impact how you feel and what you're able to do. It’s about building real authority over your body and choices.

I currently have a few in-person PT spots Chalk & Steel Gym Lowton and online coaching spaces available.

Stepping Outside My Comfort Zone & Embracing Vulnerability

This isn’t a fitness-related post. It’s me opening up, being vulnerable.

I have a notebook half-filled with ideas and countless half-written posts on my computer. Every so often, I revisit them, reread them—only to move on, thinking they’re not good enough.

I’ve helped countless people improve their health and fitness—move better, live pain-free, avoid surgery, and prepare for competitions. Yet, I still have days when I doubt myself, thinking I need to do much better.

When I take a step back, I know that striving for excellence is important. But if that pursuit starts consuming me, it becomes a problem.

Striving for our best is great, but how much time do you spend refining and perfecting? Minutes? Hours? Days? Do you eventually finish, or do you get stuck in the cycle—like me, never hitting “post”?

Aiming for your best is admirable, but if perfection holds you back, you won’t get much done. I know I wouldn’t have accomplished half of what I have if I’d waited for everything to be perfect.

Running a business and being your own boss can feel impossible sometimes—I know that feeling well. But taking a moment to pause, appreciate how far I’ve come, and accept that not everything will be perfect all the time helps me keep moving forward.

What about you? How do you approach your important tasks? Do you only feel satisfied with perfection, or is “good enough” sometimes great?

Let me know in the comments! 😀

How often do you look back and give yourself a pat on the back for how far you’ve come?

Oftentimes, we forget to take a break and be thankful for what we have reached so far.

It can be helpful to have someone by your side who can remind you of where you started.

Stop for a second and take a look back at how far you've come.

One of my clients just did walking lunges with two 5 kg dumbbells—knees to the floor, controlled reps. After the first set, she said: “It was ok. I mean, it was hard but manageable.” I was so proud! 😃 She did 3 sets!

After she finished, I had to stop her for a second because she needed to see how far she’s come. So I asked her, “Can you remember where we started 5 months ago?”

“No,” she replied.

“We did a lot of bodyweight split squats and used a band around your knee to cue you to control the reps. You found it challenging to do 5 reps without weight.”

She looked at me and said, “Oh yes, I remember!”

She needed someone to remind her that what she did was a huge achievement. 🙂

How often do you stop and give yourself a “well-done” talk for reaching your goal? Or do you usually start chasing the next goal?

Let me know in the comments—I’d love to hear your thoughts!

About My Coaching

When I write a program, the first thing I look at is YOU—your goal comes second.

Why?
Because your lifestyle and current abilities determine where we can start and how we can progress.

If your goal is to get strong but you’ve never done any resistance training before, we won’t start with complex Olympic lifts.

I begin with a full movement assessment, focusing on:
🔹 What you can do🔹 How your body moves🔹 How you feel during movement

From there, I teach you:
✅ Fundamental movement patterns✅ The importance of slow, controlled movements✅ How to be aware of your body in space and how each exercise feels

This builds a solid foundation, making progress easier and safer.

When working with a new client, we don’t just discuss goals. We also talk about:💬 Values, lifestyle, work, stress, sleep, and nutrition—everything about you.

Two people can have the same goal, but if their starting points, schedules, or values differ, their programs will too.
And that’s okay.

Last year, I helped multiple clients prepare for Hyrox, and no two programs were the same.

I love working with individuals and tailoring programs to their unique needs.
Seeing my clients progress, grow in confidence, and evolve as people is priceless.

Programming is client and goal dependent

The program and coaching will be different for someone at the beginning of their fitness journey, someone competing in powerlifting or other sports, or someone who wants to get stronger and improve their running. Different people with different goals, values, and lifestyles.

One of my clients has a powerlifting competition in less than three weeks.

She is focused, extremely consistent, and strong. She doesn’t need coaching around fitting training into her lifestyle or going to the gym when she’s not motivated because she has a very clear goal, and her values align with that goal.

With her, we focus on building confidence for heavy lifts, analyzing technique to maximize each lift, and mentally preparing for competition day.

On the other hand, I have another client who finds it difficult to go to the gym or start exercising on her own.

With her, we talk more about nutrition and lifestyle habits, how to approach gym sessions, and what the easiest first step looks like. Sometimes, that’s just a 5-minute walk. Small steps build confidence!

If you’re unsure what you need to reach your goal or where to start, message me—let’s chat!

Thinking about going to the gym but don’t know where to start?

It’s completely normal to feel a bit lost when you're new to fitness. The easiest answer might seem to be, "Get a coach!" (And hey, I happen to be one!) But I get it—not everyone wants to work with a coach right off the bat. I didn’t either when I first started.

So where should you start? Cardio? Machines? Free weights? The options can be overwhelming.

As someone who gets asked this a lot, here’s my number one recommendation for beginners: start with the machines.

Machines are:
- Beginner-friendly – They’re generally easy to use and come with instructions
- Great for learning – They help you master movement patterns, build muscle, and develop a mind-muscle connection. (This is key to feeling the right muscles working.)
- Simple to set up and progress with – Plus, you usually don’t need a spotter to train safely

Most gyms have a variety of machines for both upper and lower body exercises.

Here’s a quick routine to get you started:
1. Warm-up with 5-10 minutes of cardio
2. Choose one upper body push machine, one upper body pull machine, and two leg machines
3. Finish with a plank variation or any core exercise
4. Start with this routine once or twice a week, and then progress as you feel comfortable

Remember, the key is to keep it simple and find something you enjoy—that’s what will keep you coming back. Whether it’s a specific exercise, a gym buddy, or just seeing familiar faces, find something that you like and you’re on the path to success.

And if you need some guidance, don’t hesitate to reach out! Message me - I’m here to help you on your journey. 😊
