CUP WINNERS! The Girls capped off an incredible first season by claiming the Divisional Cup to complete a league/cup double

We travelled down to Chadderton FC who were kindly hosting the final and with every player turning up on time for once, you could tell we were up for it.

We were a bit outnumbered in support considering we travelled from almost an hour away, but those that did come down it was really appreciated and we heard the shouting, and a little bit of singing!

Before the game began, we were presented with our trophy and medals for winning the title, this was a great occasion for the girls. However, maybe it did cause a small issue for us in terms of concentration.

Gemma in net. A back 3 of Keeley, Charlotte and Amber (C). Marnie and Izzy anchoring the midfield with Kathryn just ahead. Shannon Left Wing with Katie on the Right. Vicky, Zoe and Clem began on the bench.

The game kicked off and Reddish North End started like a train. They ran more, they battled more and they played some brilliant football. They deservedly took the lead just 7 mins in with a smart finish into the bottom corner.

Sevenbrooks looked completely lost... there was no communication, constant panic and just a sense of bewilderment. We could not complete a simple pass to save our lives. However, whilst our girls had a shocker to begin, credit must go to Reddish because they genuinely played excellently and forced countless errors.

Reddish had a couple more chances to extend their lead and they will likely regret that they couldn't take advantage in this period.

Our only threat in that first 20 was from our own goalkicks. Amber had been under the weather for the past few weeks but somehow had developed a stronger kick. She managed to put our strikers through multiple times, Katie and Kathryn having chances but well stopped by the opposing keeper.

Clementine was our first substitute and we really needed her to get the team going with her positivity, there was a reason she was vice captain despite this being her first year with the team.

The first time we looked to have any composure came on the 22nd minute and it was right back Keeley who slalomed between 3 confidently before finding Katie who unforunately shanked her cross.

Sevenbrooks began to relax and show that they are a good side. Some nice passing down the right resulted in Katie getting space on the wing. Her first cross was blocked, but she took her time to provide another on the rebound towards the back post. Shannon was in the right spot and fired first time into the roof of the net. Pressure relieved , you could see it in the girls faces.

From this point on the game was completely dominated by Sevenbrooks and just before the break we took the lead after an excellent run by Kathryn led to her finishing calmly to give us a slender lead.

The girls knew themselves that they had played poorly and out of character. However. they vowed to put it right in the second half and thats absolutely what they did.

Reddish had a crack straight from kick off. A fantastic strike from the half way line almost caught us cold but Gemma was alert to tip it round the post.

Vicky had come on for Izzy and immediately she was making her stamp on the game winning countless tackles in the midfield whilst recycling the ball efficiently.

We extended our lead to 3-1 when Katie broke down the right. She slipped Kathryn through, who knocked it past the keeper leading to Shannon to convert into an empty net.

Kathryn would then make it 4 almost immediately after a smart throw from Amber put her clean through and she beat the keeper once more with her weak foot.

Zoe then joined the action from the bench replacing a slightly injured Keeley. Zoe has had an superb first season in football considering she's never played, she was immediately into the action with her trade mark strong tackling. She is pictured with a thoroughly deserved POTM for last week.

At this point the game felt over but Sevenbrooks refused to slow down and it was Kathryn once more to complete another hattrick. This time an unfortunate error by the keeper who passed it straight to Kathryn who had the easy task to make it 5. This ensured she maintained her incredible 3 goal a game average for the season and reinforced the crowd chants of 'She scores when she wants, Kathryn Goble she scores when she wants'

Shannon then followed suit to complete her hattrick and it was once again a backpost conversion to make it 6.

Marnie and Izzy both came back on. Marnie was deployed a bit further forward to show her eye for a pass whilst Izzy rejoined the midfield and immediately showed her qualities to break up play and get us on the front foot.

We should of had a 7th when Amber got on the end of corner at the back stick, her volley clearly crossed the line as it rippled the internal side netting. Somehow the referee and linesman decided it hadn't crossed, a very confusing moment.

Charlotte then went up for our next corner and met the ball perfectly, her header crashed the underside of the bar and was so unlucky not to bounce in.

We would eventually make it 7 with the goal of the game. A nice move out from the back found Shannon in the centre, she went past a couple moving inside before Cruyff turning back to the right. She then fed Katie who raced to the byline before turning back to lay Shannon off 20 yards out and she applied a cultured first time strike into the far bottom corner kissing the post on the way in.

Reddish then had a few chances themselves which really highlighted their spirit. Despite the scoreline they kept going and it was another superb strike by their forward which required a cat like save from Gemma who was at full stretch. It was as if time stood still as none of our defenders reacted, and reddish had another go from the rebound - which once again was excellently saved by Gemma who tipped it round the post.

Our final goal of the campaign would be from Clem. Vicky did some good work in the midfield and it fell kindly to Clem to tap home confidently to the delight of our fans. She has a knack of always being in the right spot and is beginning to add the goals to her game that we knew was inevitable.

POTM went to Shannon Roberts who was a constant threat through out. The equaliser was absolutely vital and she took her goals calmly when it mattered, whilst also constantly harrassing in her defensive duties.

Massive credit to all the girls for ensuring they didn't end the season disappointed after a rough start. Thanks to MWFL and Andy May in particular for the excellent organisation of the competition throughout the season, and for making the final a special occasion for all involved.

Further credit to Reddish who we have played 3 times this season and have given us a harder game each time, today in particular they were excellent in parts. We wish them the best of luck next season.

Also special mention to those who sadly couldn't make it to the final. Shannon McDonald, Laura Amadee, Abi Bielby, Rachel Rigby and Jade Almond - You all have played a major part in this seasons success.

Thanks to Tony, Paul and the rest of the Sevenbrooks management team for their support. We look forward to returning it in your cup final later this month.

Our latest sponsors D.Woodhead & Son we appreciate you too!

Probably some more photos to come when MWFL release their shots! For now enjoy the amateur photographers!

FT Salford Storm 2-6 Sevenbrooks Ladies

In our final league game of the season, we made it 42 points from a possible 42.

Both sides missed many players but gave it their all despite a lack of subs

Shannon Roberts got the opener inside 5 minutes as she dribbled down the left before smashing a strike into the near post to beat the keeper.

Kathryn would double our advantage with a powerful finish after Keeley had done excellent work from defense. She had won the ball back and gone past a couple before sliding Kathryn through who made no mistake.

There was a flurry of Sevenbrooks corners and Shan Mac went close on the volley before Zoe almost got her first for the club with a header.

Katie hadn't gained the goals her peformanes had deserved in recent weeks, buit that changed quickly. Excellent work down the right from Kathryn to fire in a low cross which Katie met perfectly on her weaker left foot to fire into the roof of the goal.

Katie then got herself an assist and it was another cross from the right. This time it was the ever deserving Clementine to get her first goal for the club. She provided an expert finish into the left corner much to the delight of her teamamtes - she had deserved this all season.

Kathryn then showed why she is the top scorer across all seven divisions. She found the net from a corner, however, this will not count to her total as it was an opposing corner and she shanked into her own net! Very unfortunate, Salford on the scoresheet.

Into the second half and Sevenbrooks really upped their level on the ball. An excellent bit of one touch interplay between Kathryn and Marnie led to Kathryn scoring in the correct net for her 42nd of the season.

Then the move of the match. Gemma had the ball in goal and found Keeley. There was 4 one twos up the pitch which led to Kathryn finding space wide right, her perfectly placed low ball was just put wide by Shannon at the back post. Almost a brilliant team goal.

Salford then got another back with a well worked move being bravely converted by their forward.

Gemma then had a top class moment when she denied a clear 1 on 1. The striker hit a powerful shot along the floor from close range, but Gemma got down quickly and the ball was cleared last ditch by Keeley on the rebound.

Sevenbrooks would get a 6th in fine fashion with Shannon finding space down the left, she came inside and laid Katie off who lashed a strike straight into the top corner.

A passionate game of footy with both sides playing some good stuff. Zoe claimed the POTM award for a superb performance at the back in her partnership with Keeley. She snuffed out counter attacks constantly and dealt with pressure calmly throughout.

Thanks to Salford for hosting and best of luck next season.

Sevenbrooks will now look to cap off an excellent maiden season with a cup final victory on May 12th as we face Reddish North End for the third time this season.

Special thanks to White Swan for their sponsorship this season which helped us massively in buying our kits.

Also huge thanks to D.Woodhead & Son who have very kindly purchased us some lovely 3/4 zip training tops as shown in the pictures. We are very appreciative of the support.

FT Sevenbrooks Ladies 12-0 Sublime Athletic

In our penultimate league game of the season, Sevenbrooks put on a show to get their biggest win of the season.

There was a tweak in the usual formation for this one with an out and out striker being deployed, this was Rachel who usually play defence but has the capability.

Sevenbrooks would miss a host of a host of chances before taking the lead after 10 minutes. Amber was found in midfield by Izzy and her low strike beat the keeper.

Shannon R made it two moments later after an exceptional assist once again from Iz. It was a sublime corner which Izzy calmly controlled inside her own box. She dribbled out calmly, holding off multiple challenges to cross halfway before sliding a perfect ball into Shannon who took one touch and slotted into the bottom corner.

The floodgates had now opened and Shannon added another 2 to claim her hattrick with both being assisted by Kathryn

Kathryn would make it 6 after a generous assist from Rachel, firing low past the keeper.

Rachel would prove her striking abiities by getting our 7th just before the break. A long range strike was spilled and Rach fired home with power using her left peg. Her first for the club.

Into the second half and Kathryn quickly added two more. Both smart finishes to complete her hat trick with assists coming from Shannon R and Izzy.

Keeley had a decent chance after a smart run from midfield, she clipped the post.

Marnie had been deployed in the striker position now and she threatened multiple times, very unfortunate not to net. However, she would provide an assist for Shannon R to grab her fourth after a mazy run seen her fire onto the post and in.

Shannon then got her 5th of the game with a header from a corner. Katie delivered a pinpoint set piece and Shannon headed home at the near post. We love a header within our team!

Izzy went close to getting one herself before Zoe almost opened her account on a couple of occasions.

Iz would then claim her 4th assist of the game. She dribbled past two before as usual making the right decision to slide Rachel in who fired past the keeper for her 2nd.

There was still time for Shan Mac to get on the scoresheet and she duly obliged after being found by Rachel just outside the box. A low strike into the near post was met with plenty of cheers from her personal fan club behind the goal, a nice moment

POTM was given to Izzy who not only record 4 assists but also constantly won the ball back before making the correct decision how to utilise it.

Thanks to Sublime for travelling down, a lovely bunch who we look forward to seeing again in the future.

FT Bury Maroons 3 - 7 Sevenbrooks Ladies

We are the champions!! 🎉

Sevenbrooks Ladies confirm a title win in their maiden season with 2 games to play currently having won every game so far. There couldn't have been a better place to be confirmed as Champions than the historic Gigg Lane which was a brilliant experience for the team.

We had a large squad for this one with many rotations throughout and everyone performed well as usual.

It was Bury that took the lead after about 8 minutes when their striker broke clear and applied a cool finish.

Sevenbrooks may have been feeling a bit of nerves but quickly put started to find their feet creating multiple chances. Shannon went close down the left before Marnie was denied from distance.

The equaliser would come around the 15th min mark. Kathryn delivered a corner deep, there was a bit of scramble before a defender tried to clear and somehow Kathryn had made her way into the box, she blocked the clearance straight into the net. Probably her luckiest goal of the season, but an important one.

The team was completely relaxed now and we began to dominate the game with Bury pushed back and playing on the counter. Shannon again went close and Amber fired over from close range.

Our second goal would come in the 22nd minute and it was Kathryn once again. Good work across the defence found Shannon around half way, she fired a lovely ball into the Kathryn 20 yards out. A great first touch before a low powerful strike into the corner, nothing lucky about this one!

Sevenbrooks continued to create with some lovely patterns of play. Katie Ryan was unlucky when she got in down the right before hitting the corner of the crossbar.

Shannon would get her goal to make it 3-1 after another brilliant pattern of play fed Kathryn down the right. She pulled it back and Shannon found the first time finish into the roof of the net.

Half time and we made multiple subs with Izzy, Rachel, Abi, Zoe and Clem all making appearances.

There would be a good chance for Clem early after a pullback from the right, her attempt unfortunate to be blocked.

Izzy was doing what she does so well and knitting the play together calmly. She would get her first goal for the club when Amber picked up possession in the corner area after a mazy dribble from Shannon, Amberpulled it back to Iz who took a touch before firing through defenders into the net.

More chances came with Clem and Marnie again having half chances from distance, both denied by the goalkeeper.

Kathryn then won the ball back and fired past a stranded goalkeeper into the side netting to make it 5-1.

Credit to Bury who had not let their heads drop at any point. They would make it 5-2 after their forward robbed our defence and finished calmly once again.

Keeley went on a mazy run down the right before crossing inch perfectly to the back post. An unmarked Shannon likely should of converted but just caught the ball in the wrong place and it went wide.

Sevenbrooks then went and got their 6th with a nice team move. The defence exchanged passes before finding Clementine in the middle. She jinked past a couple before laying it back to Izzy. Izzy once again spread the play to the right nicely to find Kathryn and she struck her fourth of the game from a wide angle into the opposite side netting.

There was still time for a seventh as our club name suggests. Shannon got this one after a Kathryn was denied by the goalkeeper, the defender clearance was mish*t entirely and fell perfectly for Shannon who tapped home at the back post.

Gemma made an appearance outfield with Zoe taking the gloves for the final moments.

Kathryn then ran down the right before pulling a ball back trying to find Clem who was once again so close to converting.

Bury would get their 3rd of the game with the final attack. Again a defender was caught on the ball and the striker ran through unchallenged to coolly slot her hat trick (I think). She was brilliant throughout.

The ref blew for FT before the game restarted and both team shook hands to end what was a really fun game of football, with both sides a credit to themselves.

Player of the game was chosen by one of our consistent supporters. This was given to Keeley for another excellent display. I don't think she lost a duel and her work on the ball was excellent.

Plenty of photos/videos from this one + a very creative chant from sections of the support which we always appreciate. I will post these later on.

As the Manager I will close by expressing the Pride I have for my team who have worked tirelessy over the two and a bit years i've been here. They have grown individually and collectively as footballers and they always put in max effort and most importantly always have a laugh. Considering we played a summer 7 aside tournament back in August and failed to score a goal in 6x15 min games, to go and enter a league last minute and then win every game(so far) is quite the achievement. Hopefully the girls can find a Cup Final victory on May 26th to complete the double and then we'll look to further improve next season.

Thanks as always to our sponsors White Swan and to the Sevenbrooks family for assisting us throughout.

FT Sevenbrooks 5-0 Saddleworth

Sevenbrooks claimed an important win in what was a top of the table clash to all but guarentee a league title, in their first season as Sevenbrooks.

We started with Gemma / Keeley - Amber - Vicky / Kathryn - Marnie - Clementine / Shannon R - Katie with Izzy , Rachel and Zoe ready on the bench.

Kathryn would get the opener as she has done so often this season after good battling led to her winning the ball back before dribbling through the defence, she found the bottom corner calmly.

Shannon would make it 2-0 after Kathryn found her wide left, she outpaced her defender and fired past the keeper powerfully

There was chance after chance coming now with Katie and Clem both incredibly unlucky on multiple occasions.

Kathryn got her 2nd just before the break. A fantastic pass by Katie set her clear and she buried it with power and precision into the bottom right corner.

Izzy, Zoe and Rachel all game on at HT and immediately showed their quality. Rachel showed us some of her trademark dribbles from the back, whilst Izzy as always knitted our attacks together with calmness. Zoe had been working hard on her attacking output from left back and she showed her improvement joining the attack frequently and putting crosses in.

Marnie had threatened from distance a couple of times and was particularly unlucky to see her first time strike cannon off the post

We missed a host of chances before Shannon got her second after robbing the defender of the ball on the halfway line before dribbling clear and providing an assured finish

There was still time for Vicky to get her first for the club, great work from Shannon led to Vicky being 1on1 and she calmly slotted past the keeper.

There was a final chance for Sevenbrooks as Clem who had been deployed as a striker battled her way through, her strike was well saved. The rebound fell to Shannon who unselfishly tried to find Clem again when likely would have scored her hat-trick. The pass wasn’t really on and sadly the attack fizzled out. Nobody deserves a goal more than Clem, and we are sure it is a matter of time.

Player of the match was awarded to Katie Ryan who despite not registering a deserved goal or two, was an absolute nightmare for Saddleworth.

Special mention to Gemma and the defenders too who when tested made it look simple. Amber and Keeley both made last ditch interceptions at stages, whilst Gemma did everything that was required to ensure yet another clean sheet.

We travel to Gigg Lane to face Bury on Friday knowing a victory would mathematically guarantee the league title.

We thank our sponsors White Swan and hope we can celebrate a league/cup double together in the summer.

Special thanks to Steph Ryan for taking some match snapshots

FT Manchester Laces 0-7 Sevenbrooks

Sevenbrooks claimed their 10th league win of the campaign on Sunday when they put Seven past a Manchester Laces team who had claimed some good results in recent weeks.

We were very light for this one without a sub meaning everyone had to put a big shift in.

Gemma - Keeley Charlotte Zoe - Marnie Amber Kathryn - Shannon Katie

Sevenbrooks dominated the game in the opening stages and found the opener in the 7th minute. Marnie played a fantastic pass into the feet of Kathryn who took a touch before firing calmly into the corner.

Shannon then cut inside before firing wide and Marnie almost got her first for the club with a decent effort from distance. Amber likely should of converted a Marnie cross at the back post but was denied by the keeper.

It was Kathryn again who made it 2 after another excellent pass into her, this time from CB Charlotte. Kathryn received the ball on the edge of the box and struck low across the keeper.

The third would come from an excellent team goal. The defence combined to find Amber in midfield who moved it onto Kathryn in open space. She drove forward before releasing Shannon the left. Shannon beat her defender before drawing the GK out , she then used the outside of her right to knock it perfectly to the well placed Kathryn to complete her hat-trick once again. A truly excellent team goal.

It was four before the break when once again Kathryn fed Shannon who flew past her defender, before slotting a powerful strike through the keepers legs.

Into the second half and Laces almost got one back from kick off with a nice move down the right.

Sevenbrooks started this half uncharacteristically slow, but eventually regained complete control and made it 5-0 after a brilliant ball from Marnie forced a defender to put through her own net.

Zoe had been excellent at left back and continued to shine when she thwarted a rare Laces break which left us outnumbered.

Kathryn got her fourth after more nice work from Shannon. She quickly added her fifth and Sevenbrooks Seventh after Amber unselfishly put it on a plate.

Sevenbrooks then missed a couple of headed opportunities. First from a congo line corner with Shannon heading over. Keeley then went past two before dinking a perfect cross in, Kathryns header didnt quite come off.

Marnie almost found the top corner whilst Katie was unfortunate after a jinking run from the right.

Player of the match was given to Kathryn for another excellent performance with 5 goals to boot.

A truly excellent performance again from the girls, and this one was a genuine joy to watch with brilliant passages of football through out.

We have a week off now before facing Saddleworth on the 22nd.

Sublime Athletic (Mixed) 2-4 Sevenbrooks Ladies

Having unfortunately had to postpone our league game against Saddleworth at short notice, Sublime kindly agreed to host a friendly in Oldham.

The hosts had a mixed team with players from their Division 3 ,4 and 7 sides and this one looked to be a tight game.

Sevenbrooks started with Gemma-Keeley, Charlotte, Amber - Kathryn, Marnie, Izzy - Shannon R , Katie. New recruit Vicky & Shannon Mac began as substitutes.

Sevenbrooks looked to make a trademark fast start and created multiple chances from smart passes in behind.

Sublime showed they were accomplished on the ball and threatened down the right in particular.

With the scores 0-0 Vicky made her debut at leftback. Her first touch was to control the ball and her second was to send a perfect lofted through ball which allow Kathryn to apply a clinical finish on the half volley.

It was 2-0 shortly later with Kathryn being found again by Vicky, she then raced past a couple of defenders before applying the finish calmly.

Sublime continued to push and created a couple of chances themselves which needed big blocks to deny them.

Moments before the break it likely should of been a first half hattrick for Kathryn, but she was thwarted by an excellent save.

Into the second half and Sevenbrooks knew this game was far from over considering Sublime’s quality. It wasnt long before Katie threatened down the right and the ball fell kindly to Kathryn who struck a powerful shot. The goalkeeper was unfortunate to see the ball hit her palms but still just find the net. A hattrick again for Kathryn and a 3-0 lead.

Moments later Sevenbrooks made it 4 after some consistent pressure led to Shan Mac provinding a dangerous cross which was accidentally turned into her own net by the defender.

4-0 likely should of become 5 when Katie, Amber and Shannon combined to set Izzy up, her shot just the wrong side of the post.

Sublime got one back after a smart a ball from the right found the striker unmarked, she applied a calm first time finish underneath a helpless Gemma.

Sublime at this point had taken the momentum and continued to create. Keeley made a brilliant last ditch challenge to deny a likely goal, the referee sadly decided it was a foul. Marnie made sure he knew it was a good challenge but Sublime had a big free kick chance which was well blocked by the wall.

Gemma took a ball straight to the face bravely to deny a second for the hosts before great interplay put Kathryn through who fired high and wide.

Sublime would get another back from a setpiece after a corner was too hot to handle and was poked through the keepers legs.

With 10 mins to play Sevenbrooks looked to regain control. Izzy showed her quality with a lovely cruyff turn to leave the opposition helpless.

Sublime looked like getting a 3rd late but Charlotte made an excellent intervention to deny what would of been another back.

The FT whistle blew and Sevenbrooks had won against another quality side. We thank Sublime for hosting what was a fun game on grass played in great spirits. We look forward to more matches in the future with a league game on the horizon.

Vicky was awarded POTM today for an instant impact on her debut. Two assists the highlight but overall an excellent performance on and off the ball.

Next weekend we travel to Manchester Laces in the league as we look to make it a perfect 10/10 record.

As always we thank our sponsors White Swan

FT Sevenbrooks 3-2 GTAS CIC FC

With our cup semi final forfeited by the opponent, we found ourselves with a free weekend and decided to look for a friendly. GTAS who are a 4th division side got in touch, and we welcomed the challenge.

Just 3 weeks back we had faced another 4th division side who are below GTAS in the league, drawing 1-1 and losing on penalties. We knew this would be a test, but the girls as ever took it in their stride, with a determination to get a victory against a side 3 divisions above.

Gemma in goal supported by a back 3 of Keeley, Charlotte and Amber. Marnie and Kathryn in midfield with Izzy just ahead and Shannon R/Katie leading the attack. Rachel, Zoe and Abi started on the bench.

Sevenbrooks as is often the case started quickly with Kathryn immediately going past a few from kick off to show our intent. We really kept the ball confidently in this one and played some lovely football throughout.

The opening goal would come from a great break down the left as the midfield found Shannon in space. She would fly past her defender before striking a shot which was blocked, but it fell into the path of Kathryn who composed herself and slotted into the corner.

More chances would come with our wingers causing havoc thanks to really intelligent passes in behind. Multiple times Katie broke the offside trap and got close to converting, whilst down the other side Shannon was giving her defender nighmare often beating her on the outside.

Gemma would then be called into action making a brilliant save with her legs at the near post to deny an equaliser.

Charlotte as the central defender faced a really touch challenge vs a good striker. She was often left isolated with the nature of our system, but showed her class off and on the ball despite intense pressure.

GTAS fought back into the game showing their class with some excellent one touch passing down the left in the particular. They would equalise just before half time with a smart through ball leaving their forward 1on1 and she finished calmly. 1-1 at HT.

The girls kept their heads up and realised that they are more than capable at this level, and probably should of led by more before the equaliser.

Into the second half and there was even more composure on the ball. Izzy often being the one to set the tone, she was always available to recieve the ball and move it on quickly, which seemed to further increase team belief.

Kathryn would again put us ahead 10 mins into the 2nd and it was smart dribble before she shot low across the keeper into the corner. A really good finish considering how well their GK had performed so far.

Sevenbrooks continuted to push and began to dominate down the left side with some brilliant triangles from Izzy, Amber and Shannon which caused no end of problems for the opposition.

Rachel,Zoe and Abi had all come on earlier and showed our strength in depth to fit into various positions and still keep the tempo up. All 3 showed their defensive instincts to thwart threating situations.

Keeley who had another excellent showing in defence had moved up to right wing at HT, she would get her second for the club after Kathryn found her in space wide right. A strong shot was too much to handle for the GK and extended the lead to 3-1.

The opposition fought back and had a few shots from distance, one saved well by Gemma. However she was powerless to prevent a long range strike which found the bottom corner to cut the lead to 1.

There was only around 3 mins to play at this point and the girls held on in a very composed fashion to claim a victory, that really highlights how far they've come in a short space of time. Every single player gives it their all week in week, and the quality is really beginning to show.

POTM was given to Izzy for her willingness to take the ball and know when to advance the attack and when to keep it and play safe. She also put in a huge shift defensively, covering the midfield when needed.

A deserved victory and one that should breed confidence. Considering this team looked unlikely to enter a league 6 months ago, the players should be very proud of themselves on what they have achieved so far in a short space of time. With a cup final around the corner and a real chance at winning the league, the girls could ensure their maiden season is a memorable one.

Thanks to our sponsors White Swan and to the club for supporting us!
