What is Strength in Numbers? π
Strength in Numbers is a local, donation-based community initiative bringing people together through outdoor fitness, physical challenges and shared experiences.
Every Saturday morning, men from across the local area meet at Hugglescote Park for an hour of training in the fresh air.
But it's about much more than exercise.
Our sessions include:
πͺ Outdoor fitness and bodyweight training
π Running, carries and physical challenges
π€ Team games, communication and problem solving
π― Friendly competition
πͺ Working together and pushing ourselves outside our comfort zones
β Coffee and a chat afterwards
All fitness levels are welcome.
You don't need to be fit.
You don't need to know anyone.
You don't need any previous experience.
You can work at your own pace, take a break when you need one and nobody is judged for where they're starting from.
Alongside our weekly sessions, we're also building a programme of hikes, camping trips and weekend challenges - giving people the opportunity to get outdoors, meet new people, challenge themselves and build genuine friendships.
We've already had 50+ men attend since launching, and we're continuing to grow every week.
The aim is simple:
Build a community.
Build resilience.
Build friendships.
Build a stronger local community.
There's no membership and sessions are free or donation based.

If you've been thinking about giving it a go, come along.
You might arrive not knowing anyone.
You won't leave that way.

And if you know a bloke who might benefit from something like this, tag him or share this post. You never know who might need a reason to get out of the house on a Saturday morning.
