It’s been a while since I’ve posted so here’s a little update.

I’m putting my best foot forward while waiting for a date for some preventative surgery.

Run group are still meeting each Thursday from 7pm alternating between Fleckney and Kibworth.

Sessions are a fun, social trot out for around 30-40 minutes. No cost and no need to book - just PM if you want to check the venue each week. We also have a closed FB group.

The Thursday of the 19th sees us having a well earned social but we will be back on it for the following Thursday.

If you are looking to get active over Christmas don’t forget the parkrun events often do extra runs on Christmas and New Year’s day so you don’t need to be alone.

Here I am running with my sister - my speedy son had zipped off ahead.

Whilst I am undergoing treatment the ladies are still meeting to run each Thursday evening, alternating between Fleckney and Kibworth.

Sessions as part of Just South Leicestershire are still ongoing.

Next Thursday (28th Feb) we will be meeting in Kibworth at 7pm.

Some ladies have now attended 4 sessions and have earned their free Just t-shirt 😊

We had a great session on Thursday evening despite the freezing temperatures 🥶

Those that were just returning to running did a great job - we broke the run up with some walk breaks and some pointers to think about as we ran.

Our running sessions will be part of JUST this year.

Free and fun, run sessions will take place at 7pm on Thursdays. To keep a bit of variety and to help those that live in one village or another - we are alternating between meeting in Fleckney and Kibworth.

Sessions will last roughly 30 mins and are suitable for complete beginners, returning runners and those that just want a brief evening run to put in their diary - motivation to get off of the sofa.
