It’s a trio of fixtures this Wednesday for AFDA Leicester.

Our Championship side host MK Football Academy at Broughton Astley Leisure Centre with a 1:30pm kick-off, while our friendly side welcome Eastwood CFC at 11am.

Our Development side travel to Rugby Town FC for an 11am kick-off.

A selection of photos from our eventful match against Brooke House to kick off the season in the Future Lions Preliminary Cup. We unfortunately lost 15-14 on penalties, after the game finished 1-1, with Kylan scoring.

Despite the final result, the lads should be incredibly proud of themselves for the mentality throughout.

A mixed afternoon yesterday for our two sides in their opening fixtures of the season.

Our First Team were unfortunately beaten 15-14 on penalties after a 1-1 draw with Brooke House. Kylan stepped up from the spot late on to bring us level, and the lads rallied hard right until the end. They should be incredibly proud of their efforts. πŸ‘

Our Second Team produced a brilliant comeback, recovering from 3-0 down to win 8-4 against Bedworth United Academy.

π—§π—›π—”π—‘π—ž 𝗬𝗒𝗨, π—π—”π—–π—ž πŸ‘

We would like to thank Jack Webb for everything he contributed to AFDA Leicester during the 2025/26 season.

A former AFDA student himself, Jack returned to the academy to complete a year-long placement as part of his Sports Coaching degree at Bournemouth University. It was fantastic to see him come full circle, developing as a coach while supporting the next generation of AFDA players.

During his time with us, Jack represented the academy on two tours to Barcelona, completed his FA Level 1 and Talent Identification qualifications, and continued working towards his UEFA C Licence.

Jack now returns to Bournemouth University for the final year of his degree, and we wish him every success for the future.

Once part of AFDA, always part of AFDA. πŸ’™
