Congratulations to the two new Combat Base Leicester Black Belts - Tim Grayson and Penny Townsend.

It was a great joy and honour to be able to promote them as my first black belts with the blessing of Helen and Darren Darren N Helen Currie and to recieve the first tab on my black belt. 🥰

Tim has a well defined dominant game and is a fantastic coach in the gym and at competitions for our students. He has a wide and varied knowledge which he has gained through his learning in Leicester and all around the world. It is so massively well earned.

Penny has consistently proven herself to have the tenacity, attitude and knowledge to be the best training partner on the mats. Her ability to teach students, making complex learning accessible for all is second to none. She has faced so many challenges with a brilliant attitude, coming out stronger with stories to support others.

I wouldnt have my black belt without either of them. My husband, my best friend and the best two new black belts I know. 🥰🥰🥰

Great work at All Stars Leicester yesterday, team. Loads of matches, highlight reel finishes, racking up the points, and everyone digging deep when it counted. You also conducted yourselves with honour, heart and humility - exactly what we like to see. Thanks to everyone who came to support - we took this photo at the end after a few of you had left but you were seen and we appreciate you taking time out of your day to show up for the team. Big shout out to Q for having his first ever match today, too. Great work again. Proud of all of you - and more importantly, win or lose, you should all be proud of yourselves. ☠️

With the upcoming addition of a beginners class to our timetable (starting in February - details below), we are pleased to offer a NEW beginner package.

£30 for 6 sessions (plus free t-shirt)

This can be used for any 6 sessions on our timetable. It is recommended to start with the beginners classes in February, but it can be commenced before then, if you can't wait!

BEGINNER CLASSES - EVERY WEDNESDAY 6PM (commencing 2nd February)

Led by our friendly, welcoming, and experienced coaches, the beginner classes are designed towards helping people who are new to the art/sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ).

These sessions will also be perfect for novice or ex-grapplers wanting to reengage with the art, add extra training into their schedule, or to learn techniques with a new/different set of people.

This is a great way to try Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/submission grappling, learn new skills, meet new people, and learn to kill each other (in a safe and friendly setting!).

No previous martial arts experience or fitness level is necessary. No uniform required - standard fitness attire (no zips) is fine.
