Honouring the Legacy of Grandmaster Lun G*i
Grandmaster Lun G*i (1928–2014) was a respected Foshan Wing Chun master and a direct student of the legendary Ip Man. Born in Foshan, the birthplace of Wing Chun, he dedicated his life to preserving and teaching the traditional methods of the art.
Grandmaster Lun G*i was known for his deep understanding of Wing Chun principles, his strong character, and his commitment to maintaining the authenticity of the Foshan lineage. Through decades of teaching, he passed on the art to many students around the world.
One of his students is Master Derek Frearson, founder of the International Lun G*i Foshan Wing Chun Association. In 2004, Grandmaster Lun G*i authorised Master Derek Frearson to establish and promote the Lun G*i Foshan Wing Chun Association, helping to preserve and spread the system internationally.
Master Derek Frearson is also a member of the Foshan Wing Chun Association, maintaining a direct connection with the birthplace and heritage of the art.
Today, the teachings of Grandmaster Lun G*i continue through dedicated students and schools around the world, ensuring that the traditional Foshan Wing Chun system remains alive for future generations.
