Just spent an incredible few days trekking from Imlil all the way to the summit of Toubkal (4167m!). We pushed through rocky trails, endless switchbacks, and some seriously thin air to stand at the highest point in North Africa.

The views of the Atlas Mountains at sunrise were absolutely unreal, and the legendary Berber hospitality along the way made every grueling mile worth it. Huge shoutout to our amazing guides and the crew who kept us fueled and motivated.

Legs are absolute jelly, but the memories (and the views) will last forever. 🇲🇦⛰️

Seven days from now, everything changes.
The busy, sun-drenched souks of Marrakech will fade into the background, replaced by the crisp, thin air of the High Atlas Mountains. In exactly one week, the journey to the roof of North Africa begins: Jbel Toubkal (4,167m / 13,671 ft).

📍 The Plan:
🛬Marrakech ➔ 🚶‍♂️Imlil Valley ➔ 🛖Mouflon Refuge ➔ The Summit ⛰️

This isn't just about bagging a peak; it’s about the shift in pace. It’s leaving the grid behind to walk dusty mule trails, sharing dynamic mountain views with local Berber communities.
The final summit push happens in the dark with headlamps guiding the way. But standing by that iconic metal tripod at dawn—watching the sun crest over the Atlas range with the Sahara desert stretching out to the south—makes every single step worth it.
Legs are trained, the gear is packed, and the countdown is officially on!

Another successful trek to the 4167m summit of Toubkal.
The conditons in large were favourable, however we did experience the odd moment of rain, hail and a random flock of sheep near the summit cheering us on!
Everyone showed great teamwork throughout, supporting and encouraging each other to make sure we had plenty of laughs along the way.

On Monday we headed to the Lake District to try a grab some last minute winter climbing before the end of this cold period.
From Glenridding, we headed up into Red Tarn to the cliffs of Helvellyn. It was noticeably warmer and we choose to ascend 'Gully 2'.
We descended along Striding Edge, which itself is fun in the summer let alone the winter, back into Glenridding.

Pleased to announce that the Care Of Police Survivors (COPS) team who climbed Toubkal made it to the summit!
They had to battle with high winds and rain from the start, but with improving conditions successfully summitted before heading into Marrakech for a celebratory evening.

Congratulations all, great achievement for a great charity - Care Of Police Survivors.

Back home after running a bespoke 3 day mountain skills course for a private group in Snowdonia.

The 3 days aimed to develop pre-existing skills and learn new skills for safe travel in the mountain environment. Topics covered, included - personal safety, planning, navigation techniques, movement in steep ground and camp craft (1 night wild camp).

We are pleased to announce that our Slovenia trek 6th - 10th September 2021 is now FULL.

We will be making a North to South crossing of the Julian Alps with, weather permitting an attempt on Slovenia's highest mountain, Triglav, 2684 metres. Please contact us for further details.
