RESULTS🏏

The 1st XI continued their winning streak with an emphatic win over Houghton and Thurnby. Skipper James Graham took figures of 4/18 with his new left arm spin. Ronnie Rajashekar topped scored in the second innings with 37 as they cruised to a 7 wicket victory.

The 2nd XI also continued their fine run of form with victory over Cosby. Scott Clayton took 3/22 on his return, before Pushpinder Singh and Harry Geary guided the side towards the total.

The 3rd XI narrowly lost out to Ratby Town. The hosts started well and managed 230 off their 40 overs. Despite some scores, no partnerships of note were formed and the 3s fell 20 runs short to bring up their second loss of the campaign.

The 4th XI also fell to defeat at the hands of Newtown Linford 3s. Having batted first, the 4s reached 175, with scored from Nick Hood and Oliver Roberts. A. Roberts took 2/25 with the ball but the visitors would get over the line with 7 wickets to spare.

TOMORROW NIGHT ⚽️

England get their World Cup campaign started against Croatia tomorrow evening @ 9PM and it’s live at the Ivanhoe on the big screen and everyone’s welcome!

The bar will be open until full time and there will also be a BBQ for all to enjoy after senior nets!🍔

Today’s county cup fixture against Lutterworth Cricket Club was unfortunately abandoned during the first innings due to a serious injury to a Lutterworth fielder.

We would like to wish the individual a speedy recovery and hope to see them back on the field soon!

We would also like to thank members of Leicester Panthers and Leicester Forest RFC for helping in response to the injury, before paramedics arrived.

The game will be rescheduled and play cricket will be updated with a new date in due course. 💚💜

Here is how all four sides line up this weekend! The 1s are on the road against Houghton & Thurnby CC, whilst the 2s host Cosby CC. The 3s are making the short trip to Ratby Town Cricket Club, as the 4s welcome Newtown Linford Cricket Club 3s on pitch 2.

RESULTS🏏💚

3/4 wins this weekend for the senior Ivanhoe sides!

The 1st XI continued their winning streak with a comfortable win over Shepshed. Sam Evans continued his fine form with the bat, scoring 123. Matt Cox and skipper James Graham both took 3fers on the way to dismissing the visitors for 125.

The 2nd XI made the long trip to Medbourne and set a total of 254, with Richard Newbery adding 84 runs to his season total of 407. The second innings saw junior J. Wagstaff take a maiden senior 5fer with figures of 5/26 as the hosts were bowled out for 73 and the 2s move into 3rd in Prem 3 South.

The 3rd XI also continued their unbeaten run against Bombay at home. Mason Gale’s brilliant 5/7 helped to dismiss the visiting side for just 70. The chase wasn’t as smooth as the side would’ve liked but they got home with 4 wickets in hand.

The 4th XI traveled to face a strong Ratby 2s who piled on the runs, making 256 in their 40 overs, with junior A. Roberts taking 3fer. The 4s where not able to establish any partnerships of note to tackle the total set and where unfortunately dismissed for 101.
