BIG NEWS FOR SKYDIVING!
Canopy Piloting has officially been confirmed for The World Games 2029 in Karlsruhe, Germany!
Taking place from 19–29 July 2029, The World Games will bring together around 4,000 athletes from more than 100 countries across 36 sports and 62 disciplines — and Canopy Piloting will be part of the programme.
One of the most dynamic disciplines in skydiving, Canopy Piloting will showcase speed, accuracy, distance and freestyle, giving the world’s best athletes the opportunity to compete on one of the biggest sporting stages.
It’s a huge moment for skydiving and another opportunity to showcase our sport to a global audience.
But wait, there’s more to celebrate this October...
On 14 October 2026, the first International Day of Air Sports will bring the global air sports community together for a new annual celebration of flying.
Led by the FAI, the day will showcase the excitement, diversity and accessibility of air sports, with events, demonstrations and digital activities taking place around the world.
