Original Step Performers What is Original Step Performers? They help each other in achieving their goals and reaching their full potential in areas they enjoy and are talented within.

Original Step Performers (OSP), founded in Leicester over 10 years ago and is now a registered charity since Nov 2025, supports 5–25 year olds through Performance,Creative arts and youth empowerment. Original step performers is one of Leicester’s leading dance/youth groups with young people aged 5-19 year olds ………Original Step performers is a non profit group run mainly by the young people, who

volunteer their time to participate in a weekly activities in singing, dancing, arts and crafts, youth related activities, sports. The weekly sessions are undertaken at a local centre on a weekly basis. All children and young people are welcome to attend. Currently on a weekly basis 25 children and young people attend to each session, and we are currently looking to expand our membership in the community
The aim of the project is to continue to develop children and young people’s confidence and self esteem and this can only be undertaken if the positive activities are available for them especially through activities they enjoy. Original step performers have bought to you shows like:

O.S.P Spectacular
Street mix
Hip Hop creation
Music and dance Extravaganza
Explosion music and dance show

OSP has helped many young people to learn:
1. Transferable skills, for example good communication/social skills,.
2. Dance routines, all different styles manly urban and contemporary.
3. Opportunity to motivate others
4. Deal with obstacles and crises
5. Multi task
6. Use music programmes on the computer

These children have talent, heart, and potential — but without help, they won’t get to shine at Carnival.

We cannot let our children miss this opportunity.

OSP did not receive any funding for Carnival this year — but the children are ready, excited, and deserve to be there.

This is bigger than a parade.
This is culture. Confidence. Community.
This is giving young people something positive to belong to.

We need to raise £5,000 to make this happen safely.

If 500 people gave just £10, we would reach our goal.
That’s how possible this is — if we come together.

I’m asking you to stand with us.

Our first week of the Creative Futures Project 2026 is complete—and what a fantastic session it was! We loved seeing everyone get stuck into the team-building activities and start connecting as a group.

This project is open to anyone aged 11+, and takes place at CDCA Academy in Leicester. We can’t wait to see how everyone grows over the coming weeks.

Thank You, CDCA Academy 🤍

We want to extend a massive thank you to CDCA Academy for their unwavering support of Original Step Performers in taking part in last year’s carnivals.

Although we didn’t receive any official funding, we made it work—and that was truly because of the support, encouragement, and assistance we received from CDCA when it mattered most. Your belief in us and your willingness to help whenever required did not go unnoticed.

We are forever grateful for everything you’ve done for our team. Thank you millions for standing with us and helping make it all possible.
