You have to go to a sports physio practice when injured. Why? Because we get people back to playing their sport or activity as fast as possible for a living. It's what we do. Regular Physios do not do this. GP's certainly do not. I am sure that they'll agree! It's why we don't do pelvic floors or stroke patients etc as we wont know what to do! We apply the most contemporary sports medical interventions to keep you as fit as possible whilst your injury recovers. We diagnose you, spend time with you, educate you and guide you across the rehab process.
Pictured: This acute hamstring strain was managed with a combination of blood flow restriction (BFR) and neuromuscular stimulation (NMS) to prevent atrophy of the muscle during its recovery - result is a much quicker return to full intensity with reduced risk of recurrence.
