After Thursdays washout, we are so ready for tomorrow!

Three strong teams are named and ready to take on Narborough & Littlethorpe CC and Leicester Stars respectively!

All three teams will be looking to make a statement after a disappointing weekend last week, with the ones unbeaten streak still in tact but tarnished with last weeks draw.

Our Twos will be looking to break the poor patch their in with a win this weekend, they’ll be out in front of a full Seagulls crowd at home, come down and have a drink and join the atmosphere!

Captain Ellis is back for the 3s after his untimely mid-season wedding and honeymoon (congrats) and will be looking to lock horns with Leicester stars to wrestle away 25 points!

It’s that time of the week again!

Thursdays games looking a tad doubtful with the rain we’re having here at the minute but let’s remain optimistic!

Saturday has all 3 teams in action looking to chalk some wins back on the board after a disappointing Saturday last week. Seconds and Thirds are back at home so plenty of cricket to go and watch!

8 weeks down and unfortunately not the weekend of cricket we were hoping for!

Team of the week prevails! Some top performers across the teams this weekend with a couple of resilient knocks, plenty of gusto bowling and another week at the top of the wicketkeepers pile for .

Top performers are a couple of all rounding young lads with doing bits with bat and ball for the Firsts and Hayden Kjng battling against the odds to take some wickets and score some runs in a losing effort for the Thirds (vast improvement on last week!).

Well played lads, into GW 9 we go!

💙💛MATCH RESULTS GW 8💙💛

Not quite the weekend we wanted but never the less it wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been!

The Firsts stint at the top of the league was short lived as they stumbled against Loughborough Carillion to draw the game in the last over. A strong batting partnership between and .bett19 laid a solid foundation before the rain came and game Carillion a target of 180 to win with the tying it up in the last over. Unbeaten streak continues but definitely not the win the firsts were looking for.

A mammoth defensive innings from allowed the 2s to stretch out long enough for the rain to salvage some points in a match that was abandoned against a strong Bitteswell side.

Unfortunately for the Thirds, despite Hayden’s heroics they couldn’t quite get over the line against Great Glen and slip to another close defeat.

Thursday also happened but let’s not talk about that!

Onto next week! 💛💙

Here are how the teams line up for GW8! Some weddings, birthdays, work and a Honeymoon have meant it’s been tricky getting 3 teams out this week but Barwell finds a way!

1s are at home today hoping for a break in the rain to continue the streak, both 2s and 3s are far, far away looking to return to winning ways after last weeks defeats.

Cricket starts tonight and it’s gearing up to be a big one!

Firsts are home to face Hinckley Amateurs in blustery conditions whilst the Seconds are away at Atherstone hoping to avenge the 1s defeat from last week!

⛈️GAMEWEEK 8 FIXTURES⛈️

Looking like it could be a soggy one but fixtures nonetheless!

Both midweek teams in action tonight with the Firsts at home, good chance to de-stress from the week and watch some cricket!

Saturday (hopefully) sees all teams in action once again with the Firsts trying to go 7 in a row against at home. It’s been a mega start to the season for the Firsts and I don’t think any of us were expecting to see them right on top of the pile!

The Seconds are away at inform looking to try and salvage something from this season, plenty of lads got a start last week, just missed out on converting those chances!

And last but not least the fun bunch are on the road to to face their 2nd XI in what should be a close game!
