NEWS FLASH from British Cycling.

British Cycling has updated Cyclo-Cross Regulation CX2.1.4, which covers the use of cycles and equipment in British Cycling and UCI races.

For the remainder of 2026, the update will be published digitally on the British Cycling website. From 2027 onwards, it will be included in the printed regulations.

The new wording is as follows:
British National Championship and National Trophy Events for Senior and Junior riders held under these Technical Regulations are restricted to cyclo-cross cycles only, as defined by the UCI Regulations. For all other age categories in British National Championship and National Trophy Events, riders may use any type of cycle fitted with drop handlebars. At all Regional level events, riders may use any type of cycle.
This exercise has been carried out due to the new UCI Regulations on handlebar width, wheel depth, helmet design and frame stickers.
BC realised that it needed to protect the sport for Masters and Youth riders, so the key difference is that these categories are no longer bound by UCI regulations in the races noted.

Mid-week Cyclo-cross Skills at Holme Pierrepont.

You are all invited to brush up your cross skills... Starting 12th August at HPP 6.30 TO 8.00 MEETING at the scoreboard on the rowing lake.
Session will be 5x approx 7 minute efforts.
Training is free.
Car parking fees apply at HPP ... you can ALSO Park in layby / West Bridgford (Holme Grove area) and cycle along the river to HPP. A nice 10 minute ride...
