Reset my Mind Hypnotherapy and NLP, working with adults and kids, tapping into the subconscious for positive change

When everything has to be right, life becomes heavy.

Because it is not really about doing well.

It is about avoiding the feeling of getting it wrong.

So your mind keeps checking, scanning and adjusting.

And there is no finish line, because the real driver is not performance.

It is protection.

Once that deeper pattern shifts, things can start to feel lighter.

You pick up your phone to check one thing.

Then you look up and much more time has passed than you expected.

Scrolling can become automatic because habits often develop around small cues: boredom, stress, tiredness or simply having the phone within reach.

Over time, screen habits can begin affecting sleep, concentration, mood, relationships or how present you feel away from a device.

That does not mean technology itself is the problem.

The useful question is whether you still feel in control of when you use it.

Hypnotherapy may help explore the triggers beneath repetitive online habits and support more conscious boundaries around screen time.

The aim is not to stop using your phone. It is to make reaching for it feel more like a decision than a reflex.

People pleasing does not always feel like people pleasing.

Sometimes it just feels like being kind.
Being helpful.
Keeping things smooth.
Not making things difficult.

But over time, you may start to notice how often you leave yourself out.

That pattern usually started because it worked.

But what once helped you belong may now be costing you your own needs.

And that can change.

Confidence is not always loud.

Sometimes it is simply being able to say what you mean without immediately worrying that you have upset someone.

It can mean asking a question in a meeting, disagreeing respectfully, expressing what you need or setting a boundary without apologising for having one.

That is where assertiveness differs from confrontation.

It is not about dominating a conversation. It is about feeling able to take part in it while still respecting yourself and the people around you.

Hypnotherapy can help explore the beliefs and thought patterns that make speaking up feel harder than it needs to.

Confidence can be quieter than people expect, but still make a meaningful difference.

That feeling that you have done something wrong, even when you have not, can be exhausting.

You replay conversations.
Question your tone.
Second guess yourself.
Look for what you missed.

And often, there is no clear reason.

That feeling usually did not start now.

It became automatic somewhere along the way.

But when that pattern shifts, it starts to lose its grip.

Some people become very good at keeping the peace.

You notice changes in someone’s tone.

You think carefully before saying no.

You avoid disagreement because disappointing someone can feel more uncomfortable than putting your own needs aside.

Over time, that pattern can become exhausting.

People-pleasing can develop around experiences of criticism, conflict or feeling responsible for how other people react.

What once helped you feel safer can eventually make boundaries and honest communication much harder.

Hypnotherapy can help explore the deeper patterns behind those automatic responses and support a different way of reacting.

Caring about others does not have to mean constantly abandoning what you need.

Growing up around anger can teach your system to stay alert.

You learn to anticipate.
Adjust quickly.
Read the room.
Keep things from escalating.

That may have helped you cope then.

But those patterns do not always disappear just because your environment changes.

They can stay in the body as automatic responses.

The important thing to know is this:

Coping strategies can be updated.

Sometimes what looks like independence is actually protection.

“I deal with things myself.”
“I don’t really open up.”
“I’m better on my own.”

For some people, that started in childhood.

When the bedroom was the only place that felt calm.
When closing the door felt like relief.
When staying quiet felt safer than being seen.

So the system learned to withdraw.
To keep things in.
To carry everything alone.

And later in life, that can look like personality.

But often, it is not who you are.
It is what helped you feel safe.

I’ve been through this myself.
And I see it in many of the people I work with.

It can become easier to connect, express and stop carrying everything alone.

One loss can create the urge to win it back.

Then another bet follows.

And another.

Before long, gambling can stop feeling like entertainment and start feeling like something you have to continue.

Chasing losses can be one of the signs that gambling is becoming harder to control.

For some people, gambling may also become linked to stress, loneliness, boredom, or escaping difficult emotions.

Hypnotherapy may help explore those deeper triggers and support more deliberate responses when the urge appears.

Change does not have to begin with shame.

It can begin with recognising the pattern.
