Challenge completed. In 12 months myself and Fern have completed our challenge. 1500.16k ran! So it’s not quite been the year of runs we envisaged. Lockdowns, homeschooling and all round anxious times have got in our way, but we were not beaten. Frequently Bana joined us and H cycled along too, even Amber joined once! At times we’ve struggled to be motivated but we’ve dragged each other out there. Looking forward to our next year where we hope to keep up with running but also get our walking boots back on a bit more.

The charity that we’re rasing money for St Matthews Big Local, have been doing lots to support individuals and families who have been affected by the current Coronavirus situation. This has included the provision of food parcels and hot meals to those in need... Just another reason why this is such a worthwhile cause!

We are now offering targeted support for those most in need.

We have previously been raising funds, via a platform called Wonderful.org and have received £16 so far in donations.

Due to the impact of the recent Coronavirus situation on many small businesses, Wonderful.org has had to close. However, we are still running, in spite of the virus, so we have decided to move our fundraising to just giving.

We have altered the target according to our previous donations, which will be given to St Matthews Big Local, in due course.

Realised we’ve not posted on here in a while, so thought I’d update you on what we’ve been up to...
We’re still keeping up the running and have visited some real beauty spots around Leicestershire! So far we’re at 592.46k (so over 1/3 of the way through!) Don’t forget to donate!

This week we have started on our 4th month of our 12 month challenge! 🏃‍♀️ 28% of our 1500km's complete with a total of 422.75k ran.🏃‍♀️ Hoping February will stay kind to us and the snow and icy paths keep away. 🥶 All sponsors welcome!

Tonight we competed in our 2nd race of the challenge - 5k around Victoria Park. Our only aim was to improve our time from the last race. 2 minutes and 6 seconds knocked off our time! Now let’s get ready for the next one. 😊

Final run of 2019 and we are ready for the challenges of 2020! We have now completed 2 months of our 12 month challenge, running 276.85k between us 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️. Finding time over Christmas has been tough but what better way to work off those buffets......Here’s to a Happy New Year 🥳 🥂

This morning we completed the first month of our years challenge.....we have ran 139.18k between us so just another 1360.82k left 🤪. We are on target but it has definitely challenged us. Hoping that the winter isn’t to hard on us. We’ve got this 👍🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️💪🏼

This evening myself and Fern completed our first ever race! 5k as part of a ‘Winter Series’ of runs around Victoria Park. It’s given us our ‘personal best’ to work on and improve but we kept on running 🏃🏾‍♀️ 🏃🏾‍♀️. That’s our first week of our challenge completed with a total of 34.83k ran, just 1465.17k left! 🤪
