We are excited to announce the expansion of our clinical training portfolio to include the Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (FREC).
Whether you are looking to progress into a specialised emergency responder role or simply want to elevate your life-saving skills to a professional standard, this course provides a comprehensive foundation in pre-hospital care.
What is the FREC Syllabus?
This isn't just a standard first aid course. The FREC curriculum is designed to bridge the gap between basic first aid and advanced paramedic assistance. Key modules include:
Clinical Essentials: Adult, child, and infant BLS, AED usage, and emergency oxygen administration.
Trauma & Incident Response: Life-threatening bleeding control (tourniquets/wound packing), pre-hospital trauma care, and managing immersion or submersion incidents.
Assessment Skills: Structured patient assessment, recording clinical findings, and Primary Triage (Ten Second Triage).
Operational Readiness: Understanding human factors, emergency services capabilities, and responding to changing risks or threats.
Medical Emergencies: Managing breathing difficulties, environmental exposure, and assisting clinicians with moving and handling in emergencies.
Why Enrol?
The FREC pathway is highly regarded by ambulance services and private medical providers. It provides the "boots on the ground" skills needed to manage complex incidents with confidence and clinical precision.
Note: This course is ideal for those working in high-risk environments, event medicine, or anyone aiming for a career in the emergency services.
