This weeks wellbeing post is about invisible disability awareness week. Not all disabilities are visible and you shouldn’t judge someone on how they look. Millions live with chronic pain, mental health challenges, neurological disorders and often facing misunderstanding or judgment because their disability isn’t visible. Let’s use this week to listen, learn, and show support. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not real.

BUSL Match 1! 16/10/25 UoL SWOLO vs Nottingham Trent ❤️💚

The results are in from our first match up!

🎉👏🏻 Congratulations everyone who raced, you all swam exceptionally. We had 2 strong teams totalling 24 swimmers and our A team won 8 of 22 events which meant we just lost out, by the fine margin of 36-42

Our swimmers of the day are:

in his first ever BUSL showed grit and determination in each and every race he swam, putting every last but of effort he had left in him especially in his 100 back 🕺
edwards.x also in her first BUSL brought passion and enthusiasm even though she had to race the 100IM and 100fly pretty much back to back and still posting incredible times 😜

Our next match up is against Birmingham on the 9th Nov. We can't wait to see you all there again bringing the same energy and passion. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Later this month, two of our lovely waterpolo captains (Luke and Alice) are running the Leicester Half Marathon to raise money for Papyrus - our chosen charity this year 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Papyrus is doing really important work to prevent young su***de and all the donations we can raise throughout the year will make a huge difference! 💜

Did you know that October is breast cancer awareness month? Breast cancer can affect anybody. Everybody has breast tissue no matter their biological gender, age or race. If breast cancer is diagnosed early, it can be treated successfully. Coppa feel! is a breast cancer awareness charity focused on promoting early detection of breast cancer by encouraging people under 30 to regularly check their chest.
