1 in 4 women have considered leaving their job because of menopause symptoms.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Not because they no longer enjoy their role.

Not because they lack experience.

But because they don’t feel supported during one of the biggest health transitions of their lives.

Menopause can affect women in many different ways, including:

âś” Fatigue and low energy

âś” Poor sleep

âś” Brain fog and difficulty concentrating

âś” Increased anxiety

âś” Reduced confidence

For many women, these symptoms arrive during the peak of their careers, when they are leading teams, managing projects and bringing years of valuable experience to their organisations.

The challenge is that menopause often remains a workplace taboo.

Many employees suffer in silence.

Many managers simply don’t know how to start the conversation.

The result?

Talented, experienced women may reduce their hours, step back from opportunities or leave the workplace altogether.

Creating a menopause-aware workplace isn’t about special treatment.

It’s about understanding, education and ensuring employees feel supported to perform at their best.

How confident do you think your workplace is when it comes to supporting menopause?

Sometimes progress isn’t about getting faster…

This morning’s run was 3 miles in just under 30 minutes, and for a moment I caught myself wondering why my pace doesn’t seem to be improving. I used to run around a 8 min/mile.

Then I looked down. 👇

A year ago, I was pushing a much smaller Roman. Today I’m pushing an extra 25kg (or thereabouts with the buggy) in front of me every step of the way.

Same distance. Similar pace. Much heavier load.

When you look at it like that, maintaining the same pace isn’t a lack of progress, it’s actually a sign that I’ve become stronger and fitter.

It’s a good reminder that progress isn’t always shown by the numbers on your watch, the scales, or your clothes size. Sometimes you’re carrying more weight, more responsibility, less sleep, or just navigating a busier season of life.

So if your results don’t look as dramatic as you’d hoped, take a moment to look at everything you’re carrying now that you weren’t carrying before.

You might be doing a lot better than you think. ❤️
