After a long winter off and a lot of thought I have decided that the MP Coaching Team will not be competing in any 2025 Championships.
While 2024 was a successful first year for the team it came with its hardships and while many people in the sport have the time and resources to handle them, mine didn’t…
…Running a team is not as straight forward as it appears on the surface.
While there are the usual elements like organising staff, hotels, logistics and equipment there is also the a lot of elements that go unseen.
Each customer in a team has different expectations, different demands and different experiences from a race weekend and to manage these successfully as a team requires a lot of resource and time, something which my current lifestyle cannot commit to and therefore I feel that contributes to the team not being able to reach its full potential…
…There are also the ever-increasing demands and politics which (in my opinion) are dragging this sport down and making it increasingly difficult for a majority of people.
To manage all of this with limited time and within a restricted budget is too difficult to manage with a full time job….
…Without the support of my home network and the drive of being a father I would not have made 2024 as successful as it was but it came at a cost and therefore 2025 will be a year where I prioritise my family.
I will still be available for 1:1 coaching/mechanics if required however this will be need to be booked in advance.
