Happy 74th Birthday to Leicester City legend Mark Wallington! 🦊

Born on this day in 1952, Mark spent 14 remarkable years between the sticks for the Foxes, making 460 appearances in all competitions.

After initially arriving at Leicester as understudy to Peter Shilton, Mark established himself as our first-choice goalkeeper following Shilton’s departure in 1974. He went on to become one of the most dependable and loyal servants in the club’s history.

From 1975 to 1981, Mark was an ever-present for six consecutive seasons and set a remarkable club record of 331 consecutive appearances.

His 460 appearances for Leicester place him equal third on the club’s all-time appearance list, a testament to his consistency, longevity and commitment to the Foxes.

Happy Birthday, Mark. A true Leicester City great and a goalkeeper who will always hold a special place in the club’s history.

Emilia Pelgander has signed a new two-year deal with Leicester City Women. 🦊

The 22-year-old midfielder arrived in Leicestershire from Swedish top-flight side KIF Örebro in January 2024 and has made 18 appearances for the Foxes in all competitions, alongside developmental loan spells with FC Rosengård and Danish side HB Køge.

From the National League to Premier League champion, FA Cup winner, record-breaker and one of the greatest strikers in Leicester City’s history, Vardy gave us memories that will last a lifetime.

We’re going to miss him, and of course, we wish it was still for us… but we’ll always be grateful for everything he did in a Leicester shirt.
