Wishing our very own Phil Bowler all the very best for his charity bike ride in aid of Dougie Mac tomorrow. OK, so not the best news from the hill today. Is it better to have tried and failed or never tried at all?
Sadly despite some heroic efforts the weather beat us :( With over 36 hours and 12,390 meters of ascent between us we had to admit defeat. The wind was brutal from the start and only got worse as the day went on. A huge thanks to our independent adjudicators, Phil, Andy and Carl for joining us and confirming the true horror of the conditions. But, we said we would do it in a day and so we will. Just not today. We learnt a lot today and will apply that to our next attempt.
Thank you to everyone who's sponsored us so far, we tried hard not to let you down, and it was your support that drove us on through the day. Sad but best wishes, Kevin
