This week has been a tough one, as we heard the heartbreaking news that the lovely Lisa had sadly passed away.

Those of you who have been around for a while will be familiar with Lisa’s story.
You may have shared the same dance space, come along to a fundraiser, or even danced on screen with her when we took Clubbercise online during lockdown.

Lisa joined our community in 2019 with her daughter Beth and her love for club music was evident from the very beginning. From then on she became such a well known & loved face in our classes..even giving Zumba & Rockbox a go too.

In 2022 Lisa was given the devastating news & diagnosis of a Grade 4 glioblastoma brain tumour & told she had just 12-18 months.

But Lisa was determined to make every moment count.

Through major surgery, chemotherapy & radiotherapy she remained upbeat & positive, continued coming to class whenever she could. She partied hard, hit every festival going & never let her diagnosis define her.

Even as her mobility declined her determination never wavered.
She continued to organise & support charity events to raise vital funds & awareness for Brain Tumour Research

I feel deeply honoured to have been a small part of Lisa’s life even if only for a short while.
Planning events alongside her & her family is something I’ll treasure forever.

To me she was more than a class member, she was a truly remarkable lady who lived her life to the fullest with all her heart. She inspired so many of us, she will have a lasting impact on everyone & we will miss her so much.

Her presence will be felt in every class from now & every song will have reminders of her.
She quite often reminded me of routines we’d not done in a while….or prompted me if I’d forgotten the steps.

To see her just months earlier dancing out of her wheelchair at our Danceathon..then just 5 weeks ago raving at the front with us at Classic Ibiza shows just how hard she fought.

Sending so much love to Mick, Beth & Harry & to her close family & friends.

Rest peacefully Lis, keep raving for us 😢✨🩷⚡️

We're seeing if theres enough interest for a seated Zumba Gold class at Endon Village Hall.

A 45min chair based class on Monday afternoons, £5 per person.

Low impact exercise suitable for both men & women of all ages & abilities 🪑
Enjoy upbeat Zumba rhythms & music from around the world. 🎶
A great way to keep active, improve wellbeing & socialise. 🧡
