Rooftop Studios Leek Leek's all–singing, all–dancing performing arts academy! Rooftop Studios was originally founded in Stone, Staffordshire in 1990.

We are very excited to be expanding and will be opening a brand-new branch of Rooftop Studios; bringing our very own brand of performing arts perfection to students in Leek from September 2021. At Rooftop Studios we’re passionate about training youngsters in the arts; building confident individuals who strive for excellence. We welcome new starters at all levels and abilities and have created a sa

fe space, both inclusive and accepting, giving ALL our students a home to express themselves, be whoever they want to be and realise their full potential. Throughout their training, Rooftop Studios’ students will enjoy a varied timetable of dance and musical theatre classes; leading to examinations, public performances and theatre productions. They will also benefit from in-house demonstrations and professional workshops with industry specialists. We enter our students for examinations with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), and LONDON ACADEMY OF MUSIC & DRAMATIC ART (LAMDA); proudly boasting a 100% pass rate in all examinations and a high level of Distinctions. Students who wish to progress in their arts training to audition for further training colleges will receive full guidance and encouragement. We have a successful history of alumni and students currently at Urdang Academy, Mountview Theatre Arts, Arts Educations Schools, ALRA, Performers College, and other University Performing Arts courses. Whether destined for a career in the industry or taking part purely for fun and social skills, we have something for everyone and will guide students down the correct path to whichever future destination they desire. Our timetable covers classes for all ages. A Stage Academy helping students hone skills in drama and musical theatre. A Dance Academy incorporating many styles of dance and acro taking students from beginner level to internationally-recognised exams; Adult dance and fitness classes, Silver Swans over 50s Ballet, plus one-to-one coaching in dance and singing. Led by our industry-expert teachers, children develop skills in singing, acting, and movement through imaginative games, creative storytelling, and mini performances — all designed to nurture creativity and self-belief. 💫

✨ BIG NEWS at Rooftop Studios ✨

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that in June 2027, every Rooftop Studios class* will be taking to the stage at The Regent Theatre for our full school show!

This is an incredible opportunity for our students to perform on a professional stage at Staffordshire’s largest theatre, and we cannot wait to begin rehearsals for another unforgettable production. Our 2025 show Believe was such a special experience, and we’re so excited to create something even bigger and better!

📅 Save the Dates: 3rd, 4th & 5th June 2027
(plus an additional rehearsal/blocking date TBC)

All dates fall within the school half-term to make it as accessible as possible for families.

*Aerial classes will not be part of the theatre show, but will have a special in-studio presentation during show term to celebrate everything they’ve learnt.
