Very sad news this morning with Alun Jones sadly passing away.
As a development section, we owe a great deal of gratitude to Alun and his Shooting Stars setup which has developed so many of our players.
Our thoughts are with Ann and his family.
He will be sadly missed.

💙 A HEARTBREAKING MESSAGE ABOUT OUR BIG AL 💙
Today was meant to be a day of celebration, bringing everyone together for Palmer Fest, but sadly, we have some heartbreaking news to share.
This morning, we sadly lost our very special friend, Alun “Big Al” Jones. 💔
Alun passed away peacefully, surrounded by his beloved wife Ann and his daughters Rachael, Maxine and Shelley. ❤️
For so many people he connected with at Farsley Celtic and our local community, Big Al was a familiar face, a friend and someone who made a lasting difference to countless lives.
Today, as we come together for Palmer Fest, we will be thinking of Al and his family. We know he would have loved seeing everyone coming together, enjoying themselves and making memories.
We will continue our fundraising in aid of the Lewy Body Society, in memory of Big Al, and hope we can raise as much money as possible for this important cause. 💙
To Ann, Rachael, Maxine, Shelley and the whole family, we are sending you all our love and deepest condolences. We are here for you.
Rest peacefully, Big Al. You will never be forgotten. ❤️
