2 INGREDIENT PIZZA BASES
Friday night is Pizza and movie night in our house, and we love making the pizzas from scratch! This simple recipe is quick and easy to make whilst missing out all the added ingredients you don’t need and ensuring it’s got some extra protein for good measure!
To make the bases:
Mix equal parts plain flour and Greek Yogurt in a bowl. (make sure it’s ‘Greek Yogurt’ and not Greek STYLE Yogurt)
I also add in some seasoning, approx 1g dried mixed herbs, a good pinch of salt, and approx 1g dried garlic (but in our house seasoning is done with the heart, not the scales 😜)
If using GF flour like me, also add in a sprinkle of xanthan gum too.
For reference I used 350g of flour and 350g of Greek Yogurt to make 2 good sized pizzas plus a mini one for Poppy.
Once mixed, use your hands to bring it into a ball (this can take a little while but it will come together!)
Then divide your dough into however many pizzas you’re having. Sprinkle some flour onto your surface and roll into your pizza shape.
Optional but highly recommended: put on a pizza tray and bake for 5-10 mins at 180 to help them be nice and sturdy.
Add your toppings! We make a pizza sauce using passata, tomato purée and seasoning, then add on onions, peppers, sweetcorn, chicken, pineapple, cheese, etc
Bake back in the oven for a further 15-20 mins
Enjoy!
