β½ MATCH REPORT | Rothwell Town AFC vs Bradford City β½
π West Riding League
A fantastic team performance from the girls today, with Rothwell Town AFC on the front foot for the majority of the game and creating plenty of opportunities in what was a dominant display.
There were multiple attempts on goal, with Rothwell unlucky not to find the net on more occasions. The pressure eventually paid off when Sophieβs forward-thinking play opened up the Bradford defence with a perfectly timed through ball for Emily, who battled brilliantly to get past the last defender before calmly slotting home! β½π
Unfortunately, despite their hard work and determination, the girls couldn't quite hold on to their lead, conceding a late equaliser.
A special mention to Jorgie, who returned to action for half a game β fantastic to have you back out there! π§€β€οΈ
We'd also like to give a huge thank you to Charlotte, who once again stepped up to cover half a game in goal. Your willingness to help the team wherever needed doesn't go unnoticed! π
Plenty of positives to take from today's performance. The girls showed great determination, attacking intent and togetherness throughout.
On another day, those chances go in. We go again!

What a performance from Sophie today! πͺ
Strong in the challenges, rapid going forward and absolutely fearless throughout. Sophie was a constant threat, driving at the opposition and putting them under pressure every time she got on the ball.
She picked up a fantastic assist with a perfectly timed through ball for Emilyβs goal and came incredibly close to getting herself on the scoresheet too!

An absolute shift from Emily today! πͺ
She ran her socks off from start to finish, giving the Bradford defence a nightmare throughout the game with her pace, movement and relentless work rate.
Her determination paid off as she battled past the last defender before calmly slotting home a fantastic goal. She was unlucky not to add more to her tally, creating problems every time she got forward.
A brilliant attacking performance full of energy, determination and desire. Bradford will be glad to see the back of her! ππ
Well deserved, Emily! π΄βͺπ΅
