“I DON’T WANT TO GO ANYMORE.”
The teenage years are often when young people start dropping sports and activities they once loved.
School gets harder. Friends become more important. Confidence changes. They feel self-conscious. Motivation comes and goes. And suddenly you hear… “I don’t want to go tonight.”
But this can also be the time they need sport the most.
🥋 A positive routine away from screens
💪 Somewhere to feel strong and capable
🧠 An outlet for stress and pressure
🤝 Friendships outside of school
❤️ Coaches and role models in their corner
🔥 The chance to learn that motivation doesn't always come first, sometimes you show up anyway.
We don't expect teenagers to love every single training session. Adults don't either!
Sometimes helping them stay the course through the dip is where some of the biggest lessons are learned.
Confidence. Resilience. Commitment. Belonging.
Before they quit, encourage them to talk to their coach. Sometimes a change of class, a new goal, competition, leadership opportunity or simply remembering why they started can reignite that spark.
DON'T LET A TEMPORARY DIP BECOME A PERMANENT DECISION. 🥋❤️
