"I nearly didn't book."
It's one of the most common things we hear before a first reformer class. The equipment looks like something you need to already understand before you're allowed near it. All those springs and straps, and everyone else who clearly knows what they're doing. So the booking gets put off. You watch the reels, tell yourself you'll start when you're a bit fitter, and another few months go by.
You do not need to arrive knowing anything. That is the whole point of learning it properly, in a small room, with someone who has the time to show you.
Our Reformer Fundamentals workshop is exactly that starting point. Ninety relaxed minutes with Dee, built for beginners, capped at eight. She takes you through how the equipment works, safely and without rushing, so when you walk into a regular reformer class you feel ready rather than lost. No jargon. Plenty of time to actually feel each movement in your body.
Swipe through the confessions. If any of them sound like you, this one was written for you.
Saturday 19 September, 1pm to 2.30pm. Spaces are limited to 7, so please book ahead through the MindBody app or chapelallertonpilates.co.uk.
