It is with great sadness that I have to announce my departure from Hall Park Cricket Club to take up a new position of Bar Manager at Rawdon Cricket Club as from Monday 18th July.
Since I took over the running of Hall Park CC back in 2015 and opening up the club and cafe to the residents of Horsforth and beyond it has been at times very hard work, very long hours but also very fulfilling and the progress that has been made at the club has been fantastic and has probably exceeded my original expectations.
We have a very healthy membership and thriving cricket teams in every section from under 9’s right up to the 1st XI and we have become an integral part of the Horsforth community.
Along the way I have met some wonderful people, many of which will be friends for life and for that I would like to thank everyone who has supported both me and the club over the years to make it what it is today.
I will of course visit the club as regularly as possible even if it’s just walking my dog and stopping off for a coffee.
My final day will be on Saturday 23rd July when I will be down at Hall Park all day to say my goodbyes so if you would like to come down and join me in a drink I would love to see you.
On a final note I would like to thank Peter Kempton and Gary Walton for their long and continued help, support and friendship over the years and I wish the club all the success it deserves in the future.
