Season’s Greetings from City of Leeds Water Polo Club! 🎉🎄

What a great year it’s been! A big thank you to everyone who’s supported the club this season. Huge thanks to all our players, parents, coaches, volunteers, and club officials for the effort, commitment, and positive vibes at every session and match.

Our last junior Christmas training session was an absolute blast and the perfect way to wrap up the year!🎅🎅

Here’s to continuing to grow together as a club.

We have some great news to share! The City of Leeds Water Polo Club - Sharks is thrilled to welcome Castleford Water Polo Club into our club.

Starting this season, we will have a combined Men's Team(Leeds-Cas) playing in Mens Conference Championship 1!
We are incredibly excited about this, and we believe it will open up opportunities for our juniors to step up and play at the men's level.

However, we cannot hide our sadness. Seeing a healthy established club like Castleford Waterpolo Club disappear is a clear and painful sign of the challenges facing water polo in the UK. It highlights just how difficult it is for clubs to keep going with minimal support from Swim England and relying entirely on the volunteers.

We're going to keep Castleford's spirit alive and are committed to making this new team a success.

What a great effort from our juniors today(U16s & U14s)! While we lost both games against City Of Sheffield Waterpolo, they played some brilliant water polo and we can definitely see the progress.

Big thanks to Morley Water Polo Club for coming all the way down. And a huge shoutout to the The Edge - University of Leeds pool team too.
Every single kid had a great time and it just shows how bright the future is!

As we approach the end of the year, we want to take a moment to reflect and express our gratitude to each and every one of you who has been part of our journey throughout 2024.
From all of us at City of Leeds Waterpolo Club, we wish you and your loved ones a very Happy Christmas and a joyful and prosperous New Year.
Looking ahead to 2025, we’re excited for the opportunities and challenges it will bring. With your continued support, we’re confident it will be another fantastic year of progress, teamwork, and success.
