Milford ARLFC Heritage Team 2026:
Coach - Gav Brown (Gucci Gav)

We are incredibly proud to announce Gav as a selectee for the Milford Heritage Team 2026!
The Heritage team was born to recognise the efforts of past players, coaches, and administrators. Each inductee is awarded a first-team home game to celebrate their selection, meet up with past teammates, family, and friends, and share a few memories while representing Milford (and enjoying a few beers or ten! 🍻).
Gav has played a massive part in this club's history since 1987—starting as an Under 11 junior playing under two great coaches, Mick Horner and Stuart Barrett, while building friendships that have lasted a lifetime.
With the support of many—including his dad, Milford coaches, and mentors—Gav went on to live his dream: representing his country, playing professionally for his hometown club, and travelling the world.
Wherever his rugby career took him, Gav was always proud to represent Milford. One of his proudest milestones was introducing our Aussie contingent to the club in 1999, which forged brilliant, lifelong friendships and memories.
Following his playing days, Gav was honoured to coach both the open age and academy teams, leading them through some incredible experiences, including playoff finals and the unforgettable academy London Challenge trip.
If your Milford paths have crossed with Gav's over the last 40 years, he would love for you to come down, share a few memories, and join him for a beer or two:
