The Hazel Bell School of Dance was established over 40 years ago and we pride ourselves in nurturing and bringing out the best in all of our students. Members of the school will train under the International Dance Teachers Association and will have the opportunity to take part in exams, shows and festival work. We have had various students who have gone on to dance professionally after their train

Today we said goodbye to our lovely Izzy Ayton, who took her last class with us before beginning her training at Wilkes Academy in September.

Izzy has been a dream to teach since she started dancing with us at the tender age of 3, and that gorgeous smile has never faded.

We will miss you so much, Izzy, but we know you’re going to have the most amazing time as you continue your journey. We couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved and can’t wait to see all that the future holds for you.

What a great weekend we’ve had at the Spen Valley Festival! This was a new festival for us, and it was so lovely to have the opportunity to compete against some new schools. We couldn’t be prouder of our students, who all performed beautifully throughout the weekend.

We now have a couple more weeks of classes before a well-deserved summer break, ahead of the excitement and madness of show term commencing in September! 💜✨

Izzy has trained with us since she was teeny tiny and has been an absolute dream to teach from day one.

We only have a small competition team but they have held their own in some very strong and big sections. Well done kids, always proud of you all 💜

A fabulous weekend at the Dynamic Dance Festival. Lots of new routines and huge improvements across the board. The stand out moment for me was seeing our little ones perform together in a troupe for the first time. They were literally bursting with excitement to dance with their friends on stage and what an amazing job they did 🥹 Kudos to Hannah and Gemma for pulling off some amazing costumes, very last minute. The years have gone by in the blink of an eye and what a dream you’ve been in the 14 years you’ve been training with us. Your love for performing shone through the moment you stepped onto the stage as a baby and it has never left you. I can’t believe we’ve arrived at your final festival with us.
