🏉 A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO TONY & JACK 🏉

As we celebrate 10 years of rugby, we’d like to take a moment to thank Tony and Jack for their incredible service to the club over the last decade.

Between them, they have given so many young players belief, skills and the confidence to back themselves, not only on the rugby pitch, but in life too.

Their commitment, passion and partnership have made a huge difference to so many young people, and their impact will be felt for years to come.

They will both be hugely missed, but they leave with 10 years of fantastic memories, friendships and achievements to look back on.

What a partnership they’ve had.

Thank you, Tony and Jack, for everything you’ve given to the club and its players.

You’ve both been a massive part of this journey. 👏

All the best lads. 👍

🏉ANNOUNCEMENT 🏉

Over the past year, we have been putting plans in place to establish an Open Age Men’s Team at the club.

With our U18s continuing to come through the junior section, we are now ready to build an Open Age Men’s team that will follow in the footsteps of our successful Open Age Women’s team.

Our ladies have come all the way through the junior section and hit the ground running this season, picking up silverware and promotion along the way.

We’re delighted to announce that we have appointed a new Head Coach for the men’s team, who will be revealed in due course.

Our assistant coaches are also lined up, and we are now putting the final pieces in place to bring Open Age Men’s rugby to the club.

Keep your eyes peeled for more information over the coming weeks!

This is an exciting new chapter for the club, creating a pathway from junior rugby into senior rugby and continuing to build for the future.

🏉 U13s Match Report 🏉

Bronte 14 – Kippax 20

What a game! Our U13s took on Division 2 side Kippax last night and left absolutely everything out on the field.

Our lads were fantastic throughout the game and pushed Kippax all the way, only to lose in the final minute. Kippax showed their class with a fantastic kick that earned them valuable field position and ultimately set them up for the winning score.

Despite the result, there was so much to be proud of. The lads showed huge heart, determination and belief from start to finish.

Coach Mikey:

“Proud of them all tonight. What a journey this year has been. Last season Kippax put 60 points on us, and now we’re putting ourselves in a position to win these games.

These lads will keep getting better with time. We’ve got a lot of potential in this team and, as they mature and develop, they’ll be a team to beat.”

A massive thank you to Kippax for a fantastic game. Both teams can take plenty of positives from it, and we wish Kippax all the best for the rest of the season. Hopefully we’ll see you again next season! 👏

A huge thank you, as always, to all our players, parents, volunteers and sponsors for your continued support.

Keep an eye out for this team… they’re on the UP!

Brontë Barbarians U13s Girls 18 – Stanley Rangers 0

What a performance from our Brontë girls! 🖤🤍

The girls put in their performance of the year so far, producing a fantastic display against a strong Stanley Rangers side from Division B.

Right from kick-off, Brontë dominated with a tough defensive effort, which was rewarded with the opening try. Some great passing created the space for Evie to finish in the corner. 🏉

Brontë continued to play with the same intensity, forcing errors and turning their hard work into points. The second score came from Charlie, who showed great instincts to dive over from the play-the-ball, giving the Barbarians an 8–0 lead at half-time.

The second half started very much like the first. Despite some good play from Stanley, our strong defence and continued pressure meant the game was once again being played in the opposition half.

Despite some brave defending from Stanley, Freya ran hard and direct, breaking through to score Brontë’s third try. Freya then converted her own try to give the Barbarians a 14–0 lead.

In the dying moments, Charlie scooted through the Stanley defence and slid over the line for her second try of the game, completing an excellent performance and securing an 18–0 victory for the Barbarians. 🖤🤍

🎙️ Coaches Gav and Sophie said:

“This was one of the strongest performances we’ve seen the girls show this year. All the many months of hard work and practice seemed to click and resulted in some really good rugby. Great leadership from our captain Freya also ensured the team kept their shape and stayed organised.”

A huge well done to all the girls today. The hard work, commitment and teamwork are really starting to show, and this was a performance they can be extremely proud of. 🖤🤍

👏 A big thank you to Stanley Rangers for giving us a great game and for agreeing to play under developmental conditions. We really appreciate it.

UTB! 🖤🤍

Siddal 34 – Brontë Barbarians U13s 0.

Our lads can hold their heads high after a tough afternoon against league leaders Siddal. 🖤🤍

It’s been a tough year for our U13s, with lots of new faces, including lads who are completely new to the sport. They’ve been learning week by week, improving every game and shaping up really well for next season.

The lads put in a huge effort in defence today. There were a few missed opportunities with the ball and some mistakes that ultimately cost us, but there were also plenty of positives to take away and learn from.

At half-time, Siddal led 10–0. The second half followed a similar pattern, with our lads continuing to put in some big efforts but missing opportunities when they came. As the game went on, tired legs began to show and Siddal were able to up the tempo, scoring 24 points in the final 15 minutes.

Coaches Mikey and Cameron were really pleased with the lads’ effort. Naturally, they were disappointed with some of the missed opportunities, but the commitment and determination shown throughout the game were fantastic.

We’ll bounce back and come back stronger for the 2027 season. We’ve got a brilliant squad who are all learning the game, developing their skills and improving every week. 🖤🤍

👏 Congratulations to Siddal on winning the league, and we wish them all the best going forward.

A massive thank you to all our players, parents, sponsors and coaches for their continued support. Your backing means so much to the team. 🖤🤍

🏉 Next up:
We have a friendly at home next week against Knottingley Mustangs. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
