Friday night under the lights did not disappoint. The boys took on Keighley on Friday night trying to build some momentum into the last game. They started really well in the first half throwing some great attacking shape at them, going into half time leading 10-6. The second half was a different story struggling to complete sets but really dug deep and stuck together as a team to get the win finishing 16-14. Last game next week at home against Elland.

Tough day at the office for the lads yesterday, flat warm up carried on into the game and the lads fell behind. They started to show what they could do with ten to play but too little too late.

Bit of a change yesterday for the lads as they went on a team bonding morning down at Sheffield Aqua Park. It was good to see the lads laughing and joking in a different environment to the rugby pitch. Back to league action next week when we travel over to Heworth.

Back at home action after so long we welcomed Drig Golds to the Oval on Monday asking for a response from the two previous defeats that the side have received. They started strong and worked hard in the first half going in at half time winning 6-4. After a chat with the coaches they come out and really turned up the gears in the performance winning 24-4 in a good overall team performance.

Not the best performance off the lads but they got the result in the end. Ackworth tested them right up to the final whistle but we came out too strong in the end.

In tough conditions yesterday the lads put a performance on for 30 minutes, showing probably their best attacking display of the season in the time. Tiredness come into play and they switched off to allow Keighley to get over in the last five minutes. Big performance and massive improvement from the previous week.

Game of two halves yesterday for the lads. They played some lovely stuff in the first half to go in to the break 14-0 up and a few more gears to go. In the second half they took the foot off the pedal and didn’t play their best rugby. They still come away with the win 20-10. Another home game next week for the boys as part of the The Hunslet Club gala.
